I think I would even rank this season slightly above 5, which was more consistent but didn't have as many classic-tier episodes.

Definitely not denying that the gender divide of boy bands/pop music in general has loosened up in the past ~5 years or so, but I do think there's a "nostalgia" component to bands like Backstreet Boys/N'SYNC that makes it even more "okay" for dudes to like them.

It has been a pretty weak back half of the season, which is disappointing since they were on a pretty good streak for a while.

I don't think they're great but they've settled into a decent/okay groove where they get in a couple of good jokes per week. Still one of the weakest Update pairings in the show's history but not as much of a disaster as they were initially.

I don't buy that. I mean they certainly didn't pull any punches with Palin. They probably realize they look like hypocrites though after having him host the entire damn show a mere 6 months ago.

Moynihan had a pretty big, well-received role in the latest Fey/Poehler movie.

Yeah I'm guessing Nick and Jess are endgame but won't actually hook up until the series finale. I feel like the past 2 seasons have been working towards getting them "ready" for each other again but I don't see the show spending anymore time on them as a couple on-screen.

The thing that scares me about Trump is that for months we keep hearing "okay but now this is REALLY it for him" so these "Trump is definitely going to lose the general!" promises don't comfort me much, since they don't feel that different from the "Trump will definitely flame out before the convention!" promises from

Except The Chris Gethard Show.

I feel like Andrea is probably a lot of people Tina has run into in the entertainment industry. Jimmy certainly could be one of those people.

"I don't actually like this!!!" was perfect because it captured exactly how I feel every time I ride a rollercoaster.

I'd love to see an episode with Kimmy, Kymmi and their mom, maybe a Christmas episode or something.

Yeah, let's all never speak of episode 3 again.

Regardless, that American Apparel line is great.

Between Titus's plot in this episode and all of the space jokes on 30 Rock (Tracy's NASA dream, Astronaut Mike Dexter, yelling at the moon with Buzz Aldrin) I'm going to say either Tina Fey or Robert Carlock has an obsession with the space program.

There were lots of Friends jokes on 30 Rock too even though Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer appeared as different characters. Just don't think too hard about it!

Tina said that she's expecting S3 to be ready by May 2017 which is the exact same wait we had between S1 and S2 (13 months.) Unless things have changed, the "hiatus" news has been a little overblown.

It made sense for a show like Community though where the characters were all part of a tightly-knit group of friends. There aren't really a lot of reasons for, say, Titus and Jacqueline to spend time together that don't feel contrived.

It's pretty astounding to compare these episodes to the trial episodes in S1. It almost feels like a different show. (In a good way - the trial episodes had to NBC-proof a very dark subject and it ended up in an occasionally funny tonal mish-mash.)

I feel like Hannibal basically existed in its own world where NBC quietly let it do whatever it wanted.
