I feel like this is a valid argument, similar to the people who argued that 30 Rock's penultimate episode would've been a better finale. But what I liked about this finale and 30 Rock's is that they were not really episodes of television but moreso just hour-long celebrations and thank yous to the fans who watched and

I feel like both 30 Rock and Parks & Rec's finales have to be in consideration for the top 5 sitcom finales of all time. Both fit the shows they wrapped so unbelievably perfectly.

The original cut to Jean-Ralphio's grave was such a great, dark joke (maybe the darkest the show has ever done), even if it was undercut by the fact that he was faking it.

God, this was just like, so fucking good. I don't have a more articulate or original thing to say. It was just SO FUCKING GOOD and I'm so happy.

Yup. I've seen some criticism that it was too sweet but like, what else were you expecting from Parks? I loved it. It knew exactly what it needed to deliver to its fans, and it did it.

Okay so Parks & Rec totally nailed that finale.

This season is basically the first time that New Girl isn't completely safe for a renewal. It's still probably going to get one but you can definitely feel that anxiety a little in the past few episodes. If they're any indication, then the show's pretty good at writing endings and should do a good job whenever the

Eh, now that it's on Yahoo I don't see why it can't go out on its own terms. I just hope they do it sooner than Season 11 when Chang is the only cast member left. It's weird that Community seems poised to be a show that runs too long for its own good, but here we are.

Ughhh right? Harmon saying he can see Community becoming a 'revolving door' kind of show sort of broke my heart. It's okay for things to end!

This would probably be my ranking as well. 2 is clearly the best. 1, 3, 5, and 7 are all great and could probably change depending on the mood I'm in. 4 and 6 are the only seasons with a ton of bum episodes, but they also have their classics.

I think Harvest Festival is probably the episode I would say captures the entire essence of P&R the best. It just has a perfect mix of funny and uplifting.

The only episode that I would consider including from those seasons is Leslie and Ben. It's not that they were totally bad, but there weren't a lot of overly memorable episodes.

The Camel is an underrated early P&R gem. I feel like it's maybe the episode that captures the strength of the ensemble the best.

Yeah 4 and 6 are the weakest seasons of 30 Rock to me (though still good.) 2 is definitely the best.

I think there's still great comedy on TV but it seems to have moved to cable. The spirit of those shows is alive in stuff like Broad City, You're the Worst, and Review, but those are all niche cable shows. It's hard to imagine that style of comedy ever making it on a major network again. Brooklyn 99 is the closest we

Mine would be:

Looking back, 2011/2012 seems like the last breath of great network comedy. The best seasons of Parks & Rec and Community, the last of 30 Rock, the short runs of Happy Endings and Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23…

I thought I liked Mark but I'm rewatching Season 2 right now and honestly, he *is* pretty boring. Ben serves the "straight man" role he played, but he does it better because he's also an actual character.

It's kind of mindblowing to me that Parks & Rec Season 3, Community Season 2, and Archer Season 2 all aired alongside each other. We truly didn't know how lucky we were.

I kinda think it has a better chance in the drama category. Historically the Emmys don't like dramadies competing in comedy (the last one to win was Ally McBeal in 1999).
