Moonlight is now available on demand, if you’d rather watch it in your own home.

As James Baldwin said:

This made me laugh out loud.

It’s been a shitty day, so I’m going to fixate on this a little.

Good on him, but what a complete disgrace and total failure that it’s necessary.

The 1980s? Come on. It’s like you don’t even remember the Maine!

I am here for you, my dude.

Shep, why are you trying to keep the people away from a cheaper Paperwhite? $20 off sure looks like a discount to me.

I’m learning a lot right now, and most of it is that I shouldn’t act like I know anything about Ireland.

Thank you for this. Heartbreaking context.

Your comment led me down a really interesting google path. It was above 35% in Ireland in 1960, which seems extraordinarily high for a part of Western Europe that hadn’t just come out of an active war zone.

Ha! Don’t worry, I know that the only similarities between the two are superficial, but that second picture looks too much like Bernie for me to not go for the easy joke.

I didn’t know Bernie Sanders was the Prime Minister of Australia.

At least nine other children. What a debacle.

Presidents don’t typically blame their generals for a botched mission. They don’t typically blame the guy who came before them for “starting it”, when we all know that isn’t what happened. And they certainly don’t typically say that anyone who questions whether the mission that killed two American was a 100% success

Sometimes I still hear people say that they love the Newsroom, and then I know I can never respect them again.

Like I totally get that it was wish fulfillment, but I feel like then I grew up and realized that’s not what I wished for. It’s very early 2000s Democratic Party, and I don’t mean that in a flattering way.

I’m glad other people still enjoy it, but I think it doesn’t hold up well at all. It’s all the smugness of the Clinton Administration couple with Sorkin’s own bullshit. That episode in season 1 when Sam lectures the DNC about how the 1% pay their fair share in taxes. Ugh.

The Pences are playing us. It’s the appearance of solidarity—a see, we’re not as bad as him.
