I’m fond of Grease, but the whole film is an obvious pastiche of the ‘50s rather than an attempt at reality. And that’s fine with me because Stockard Channing kills in that film even if she looks 40, but it’s definitely not something a realistic drama should emulate.

I guess I always assumed Gomez was Latino, which made it extra refreshing he was played by an actual Latino in the movies. Nice to see that get cemented a bit more with this casting.

The article pulls from the fox news playbook. Take a quote out of context with no background behind it to drum up the echo chamber.

Kermit sang “Rainbow Connection” with Justin Timberlake some time in the 00s (I think). It was a decent sketch. One of the rare late in the evening sketches that still managed to be funny.

Oh, so we’re celebrating elder abuse now?

There are a few things going on here and everyone’s getting shirty for no reason.

The things she wrote sound good at quick glance but as another survivor idk how tf one puts “Hire survivors” into practice as if we all walk around with name tags on or announce our assault during job interviews.

Same. I was abused multiple times throughout my life, from childhood to adulthood, by multiple people... and I’m not talking about “he made me uncomfortable with his advances” or “he groped me at a party”. I’m talking rape. Full on, violent, unequivocal rape. On that note, this whole “commit yourself to the experience

She seems insufferable. Seth spoke out against his good friend, which had to be difficult, and she gives him homework?

WTF- hire survivors?! How exactly is that supposed to go down? Add a question to the job application?

Then, like I said, it’s a good thing you called him a predator on the internet. Especially with not a clue what the fuck you’re talking about. I guess the indictment will include charges like “creep” and “douchey vibe,” both felonies I would imagine.

It’s...I mean...Like, I’m trying to give folks the benefit of the doubt, here, but...it’s a fairy tale? And fairy tales have their own logic? And kids aren’t morons and understand this? I saw Snow White at an impressionable young age and the message I took away from it wasn’t “it’s totally okay to kiss whomever you

It’s kind of a shame, because the wording of the headline suggested that this might actually be a biting satirical take on the story... but then I saw the byline under it, and knew it would bend over backwards to side with the two wackos that are offended by fairy tales.

For God’s sake, Sam, can we cut this nonsense out? The “backlash” to the new Disney ride consisted entirely of one editorial on SFGate before Fox News picked it up and ran with their brand new culture war football. There is no need to play their game. I don’t care what two people on some editorial webpage have to say:

Snow White was dead at the time, though. You don’t need consent to kiss a corpse; they’re inanimate objects.

I think it’s kind of hilarious that people are asking “why Elon Musk?” when the answer is pretty obvious - people have been talking about it incessantly for weeks now. SNL doesn’t care if you’re “hate watching” as long as you’re watching.

Musk owned up to getting high on the podcast of NewsRadio second-stringer and MMA meathead Joe Rogan that time, but no need to bring up his subsequent memo to his employees that they’ll totally be fired if they show up high to work.

Eh, I don’t really like the guy, he comes off like a huckster who makes shitty electronic cars, but I also don’t think he’s the antichrist that the internet sometimes wants him to be.

That doesn’t read like a C+ review, but I agree that it was a C+ show. If you ignore his whole deal and just judge Musk next to other weird, not-an-entertainer SNL hosts he was fine, a little better than average in fact. And the hit-to-miss ratio wasn’t bad: Covid Conversation, Murder Durdur, and Wario were all great,
