Sorry, are you talking about Dani? The one who burns alive anyone who doesn’t follow her or bend to her will? The one who “liberates” foreigners as long as they help her ascend to the throne so she can rule over them? She’s been just as ruthless and bloodthirsty as anyone else in this series.

That Dany was in danger of crossing a line has been in the books and show for a very long time. There have been cracks in her empathy and humanity throughout going all the way back to her reaction to Viserys’s death. She’s gone for mass murder more than once and usually in horrific ways — Qarth, Vaes Dothrak, various

The negative reaction I’m seeing is that Dany is so innocent and good that this arc makes no sense and came out of nowhere, and I’m a little at a loss there. That the Targaryens are prone to madness is brought up all the time. Dany has done things going all the way back to season 1 that raise questions about her

All week I’ve been perplexed by so many people complaining that the show all of a sudden started hinting that Daenerys was a mad queen. They’ve literally been building this up for the entire show!

The endless whining in this and other comment boards about a mad queen going mad is genuinely tiring.

Do u reckon they'll go full circle & have Selina be offered the VEEP spot again?

Seriously. It’s like no one saw what she just did to the spaceships, Peter Parker included. “I don’t know how you’re gonna make it through all that!”

Speaking as someone who didn’t watch Lost past the first couple of seasons, everything you just said “explaining” the polar bears sounded like complete nonsense.

This — “it was about the characters” is such a cop out. The purpose of a good mystery, which Lost clearly sold itself as, is that it highlights deeper truths about characters and setting in the story you’re telling!

The characters on Lost were more often than not puppets in service to the plot, so retroactively claiming it was all about the characters has never been credible.

You know what, it’s not terrible.

You need to hang out on The Root more. They will happily support your anti-mayonnaise stance. Never have I been to a website where feelings are as strong about mayo as I’ve seen in their articles and comments section. Also, you should get some new friends. If they keep trying to shove mayo on you then they’re shitty

It’s actually been an issue since pre-Netflix days, but mostly outside of a US context - in other countries, “TV movies” often are cinematic in the ways you describe because (at least in Europe) there are funding bodies for films made for TV, and commercial breaks (and other factors more TV-related in the US) are less

No it’s the same comic. I haven’t read it - are we supposed to sympathize with the BernieBro-turned-MAGA-hat? Cuz... I definitely don’t. He voted against the interests of his wife and his kids, of course he’s gonna lose his family.

trump supporters are fucking scum. Period.

So I’m not shocked at all that the response doesn’t include any real denial of Page’s criticism.

Anyone, including the author of this article, that thinks Bernie Sanders stands a chance in the upcoming primaries needs to lay off the pipe. The 2018 midterms were pretty much a giant middle finger to Bernie, his Bros and his fake ass revolution. Vanilla Ice’s follow up album wasn’t as lame as Bernie’s half ass

I will state up front that I prefer Superman as the cheerful, optimistic god who could do anything but does the *right* thing. MoS isn’t “my” Superman, but I think it’s a valid interpretation of the character.

That said, I absolutely agree with your take. Superman in MoS is at the start of his career. He hasn’t dealt

What I find odd is that everyone forgets that Superman murdered Zod and Non in Superman II, he just did it with a plucky, happy go lucky attitude that no one seemed to care.
