I’ve read a couple of the comics and the one I referred to I openly said was ridiculous.

The death of snoke doesn’t overly bother me so much of the complete and utter sense as to who this person is. You want to cast Andy Serkis as seemingly the big bad and immediately kill him off after he stupidly gloats about his own genius? Okay, sure, go right ahead. But you can’t make a star wars movie and just toss

First off, fuck that headline. Saying “fuck you” to the guy who created the franchise and the guy who worked to bring it back is incredibly rude and ungrateful.

Yeah, it’s strange how this line (that he’s only denied what happened with non-white actresses) has started appearing in Weinstein articles considering that he’s definitely denied Judd and McGowan’s rape accusations. Maybe there is some subtle distinction at play, like the amount of effort put into the denials, but

No, it’s a Katie Rife article.

Gutted this column is coming to an end. It’s easily been the best featured column on the AV Club for months now, and I’m not sure there’s much else of quality left once it’s gone.

So his response to the interviewer’s question is “You know, I have no real comment on that right now. It’s best if I just keep my mouth shut,” and that’s not going to be perceived as worse? It would imply that either he doesn’t care about the issue, or is actually siding more with the accused and doesn’t want to say

Oh no, not “a guy thinks that some of the milder actions, while bad, aren’t worth being permanently unemployed as a result”. Clearly we need to just have a one-size-fits-all approach to sex crime punishment. Beat a guy up? Who cares, we can forgive that eventually. DUIs? Who cares? Asked women if you could masturbate

... That was a joke? Don’t take it out on other people just because it didn’t land. Maybe step away from the computer, go take a walk outside and blow off some of this weird rage you’re feeling.

So the alternative is to say “forget specific circumstances, all of these men are equally terrible, and should never be heard from again?” I’m so sick of people getting flamed specifically for giving a thoughtful, careful answer instead of the “correct” quick, thoughtless one that paints with a broad brush.

What is “The Point”? Genuine question, since somehow, “sexual harassment exists on a continuum” is apparently the wrong take.

Yes, damn that Matt Damon for having his own balanced opinions on these issues.

I didn’t know being “unpleasant” was a crime.

Eh, I’m undecided on this. I feel an issue with the story, while it’s good overall, is the same as an issue with a LOT of modern literary fiction- the author is so cautious in avoiding melodrama or cliché or purple prose that you end up with basically, a story of a thing that happened once. It never quite transcends

Your overuse of pronouns makes your comment very hard to follow but what I am gleaning from this comment is that you want very much to sound impressive.

So the site is still just outright pretending everyone hates The Disaster Artist, huh?

If I boycotted everything I didn’t agree with...I’d never be able to leave my house.

I did a search for I Love You, Daddy torrents. The results were...uhhhh...not what I thought they’d be.

“A recent spin of the “How Will Lena Dunham Disappoint Us This Time” wheel landed on “defending a man accused of rape,””- because only a really garbage person would ever say they’re not sure one of their friends committed a horrifying crime. Innocence is only even considered by scumbags.

I like that the article includes a QUOTE of what Lena Dunham “basically said.”
