But they won’t be surprised... they invested hundreds of millions of dollars on this movie under the belief that such a movie will be popular. Though I wouldn’t be shocked at all if this whole story was planted so that people will march to the theaters to “prove this executive wrong” (by giving him lots of money).

IDK, wouldn’t search optimization have still worked if there were quotation marks around the passages.

Sounds like a good movie to watch while smoking Virginia Slims.

and that Sanz admitted to having had “cybersex” with her when they spoke about the incidents in 2019. The lawsuit also quotes multiple purported text messages exchanged with Sanz in which he says he’s “feeling terrible” about their past interactions, and claiming to have changed as a person.”

It’s like that mini horse from Parks and Rec...

Don’t even get him started about his father...

You would think that simple enlightened self-interest would have gotten this guy to move on from this shit instead of dragging it out and out and out for seemingly no reason, and yet...

It is usually accepted for rappers to have AKAs that appear to have been given to them when they were really young.  Note all the grown men calling themselves “lil” or one of the most famous rappers of all time being named after a canine from a child’s comic strip.  It gives them an aura of authenticity to have had

Most cable packages allow you to use “on demand” features to watch pretty much any event you want, often completely uncut.

Yeah, I don’t know.  Guzman always just strikes me as a very down to earth regular guy and most of his acting roles tend not to stray too far from his own persona.  This seems a bit outside his range.

But they had that version of Star Wars in their heads because J.J. Abrams led them there with a trail of breadcrumbs. He’s the one who made Rey’s parentage a mystery to be solved, he’s the one to introduce Snoke with the promise of some future explanation of how this guy managed to undue the happy ending of the

It’s also kind of weird how the movie makes Holdo a hero and martyr for going on a kamikaze run but acts like Finn was being an impulsive idiot for doing essentially the same thing.

That’s a bit of a retcon though. No one left The Force Awakens in suspense thinking “is Finn going to turn his back on the Resistance now?”  It was pretty clear from the moment he escaped from storm trooper service and started helping out Rey with the war that his allegiances were pretty set.

    Now playing

The villain might say the line, that’s not exactly an aberation in a film that is otherwise in favor of tradition, it’s in a film that is revels in subverting expectations and tearing traditions down. Like, here’s a scene of the HERO seemingly setting fire to the ancient jedi texts and expressing that they should be

I’m not even sure why they thought secrecy was an issue.  Poe’s loyalty was never in question, his judgement was, and leaving someone like that to stew in anger is pretty much asking for trouble.

I think the bigger issue is that we were given basically no inkling of this in The Force Awakens.  If she was a trained Jedi she sure wasn’t acting like it before or after that moment.  It’s odd.

That is the crux of the issue. If the goal of the sub-plot was to say that Poe is an insubordinate idiot then they should have gone all the way with it instead of immediately forgiving him. He was punished far more harshly for advancing troops kind of recklessly than he was for mutiny.

So weird that they took so long on this. It’s basically Netflix’s biggest hit and the challenges involved in having a cast of growing children would have seemed to have been incentive to keep things moving.

Let’s be real, most of the affection people have for Alex Trebek is from familiarity. If a young Trebek were to do one of these one week auditions to replace someone else he would have been perceived as an extremely boring choice.

    Are they not people?
