See my response to Hercules Rockefeller. Those safety features already exist.

But Tesla is already taking those safety measures. If you don’t have your hands on the steering wheel for a certain amount of time warnings pop on the screen and then if you don’t apply pressure on the wheel it starts beeping, turns on your hazard lights, and starts to brake and then it won’t let you use auto steer…
They seem to be going awfully hard at HFPA compared to how hard they go at... things that actually matter... like TV networks and movie studios.
So, if someone drinks two bottles of vodka and drives their Camry straight off a bridge is that Toyota's fault?
Sure: families of the deceased, if you're reading this, your relatives were morons and were probably due for their Darwin Awards eventually. Maybe you should have thought twice before letting them drive in the first place?
“There was a vicious, lethal car accident in a Tesla in Michigan mere weeks ago (related to the company’s self-driving research)“
Americans didn’t really revolt against monarchy. Even in 1776 Britain was not an absolute monarchy and the lion’s share of the things the Sons of Liberty objected to were measures passed by parliament and they mainly objected to the fact that they didn’t have any representation in that body and they felt like they…
The aave debate was weird to me because they kept complaining that the sketch was using the language “wrong” as if it was supposed to be “authentic” in the sketch rather than a comical exaggeration.
Let me let you in on a little secret: this was a pretty average episode of SNL, they kind of all suck.
The fact that the mirror are equating beauty with “fairness” of skin tone is a whole other can of worms.
I doubt anyone was seriously considering boycotting. All these “the cast of SNL are revolting” takes seem to be based entirely on two kind of sarcastic tweets.
Iceland has become something of a vacation destination in the last ten years or so, so a lot of comedy writers are coming back from there feeling the need to write it into shows like this.
Also in a group of 87 people 10% of the vote is something like 8 or 9 people who for all we know may have been protesting the vote for the reforms not being sweeping enough or something.
I noticed the promo said “live coast to coast” at the bottom. Did they give up the west coast feed? How long have they been doing that?
The fact that countries like the U.S. have embargoed the export of vital vaccine components in order to ensure their own production lines have FAR more to do with slow downs in poor countries than patents held by pharmaceutical companies that have every incentive to make sure their patented drugs are being…
I can’t picture him wanting to host, but if he made it known he wanted to I doubt Lorne Michaels would say “no.”
Presumably the industrialist part? His twitter persona would not be interesting or noteworthy to anyone if he wasn’t a billionaire business guy and the idea of seeing the world’s richest person (depending on where the stock market is) doing comedy is the main novelty they’re trying to mine.
The “vaccine patents” controversy is a total red herring. Even with all the patent information third parties are unlikely to be able to fully replicate the existing vaccines without the active cooperation of Pfizer, Moderna, J&J, etc and just waiving the patents would most likely discourage rather than encourage that…
And generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.
