I don’t think the Hutch Touch will fix this CP.
It’d cost too much to go against Euro regs anyway. The world’s car buyers are moving toward efficiency, including economies of scale from similar standards. With different standards, manufacturing states would actually lose jobs for their loss of exports...
Eventually? You mean January 2021?
I think the best you could hope for is a temporary slowing of the increase of car costs.
COUGH *** STATES RIGHTS *** COUGH
This is one of my favorite replies, ever, to any Michigan-bashing post I’ve made in recorded history
I can’t stress enough how much of a shithole that state is.
Considering they’re bitching about they’re pay and I’m not, I wouldn’t assume they have it better than me.
P100D Turbo is my preference
If you read the article by Robb (who knows the ‘Ring better than most people currently alive on this planet) it wasn’t “Tesla can’t do this,” it was “Tesla should take time and do this right because the track is on another level.”
Overall I am very happy with my job and all of its aspects. The healthcare is a high deductible plan. If I were single I’d probably like this as it would end up being cheap. As it stands, I support a family of four with two young kids, so it is not the case for me right now.
You know Glassdoor (and just about every other site like that) works based on unverified, user-submitted data, right? It’s like Yelp, TripAdvisor, or Amazon Reviews, but for jobs... It’s skewed data.
I feel bad for both parties involved. Because GM is looking at health care costs rising 3X the rate of inflation and I'm sure that's going to catch up to them. And the UAW in one of the few semi strong unions left in this country and is trying to hold onto their members benefits and salary. Yes GM is posting strong…
Hold that thought. Detroit style deep dish pizza is amazing and worthy of preservation. There’s probably a lot of other cool crap there too.
That is not really true. There is a lot of evidence based on physics and science that shows SUVs are much worse than typical cars as it relates to pedestrian injuries/deaths.
They certainly have better healthcare than me, a salaried employee who works for the same company.
The Macan is relatively large when compared to European sizes, however protesting them because of the fatal crash is stupid. This feels like someone didn’t like CUV’s and has a bone to pick. An A6 Avant is just as deadly.
Cool. Can we just eliminate Michigan afterwards, then?
Most of these UAW workers are averaging $90k/yr or more and have better healthcare than a good portion of the US, sorry if I don’t sympathize.
