Driver and passenger airbags, ABS, tire pressure monitoring, I think even backup cameras are required now. Not to mention that diesel probably doesn’t meet current emissions

Chinese auto sales were already in decline before Trump got busy touting his trade deals. The industry as a whole, had over-cooked that golden goose, regardless of any political action no matter who it was from.

They lose money because they subsidize part of the true cost or your ride. Uber and Lyft rides are pretty cheap; they should cost more.

High miles to me these days means they drive it and if they are driving it that much it’s a good car.

I’ve owned 2 STI’s, 4 Evo’s, 97 Viper GTS, 17 Golf R, and (I’m not proud to say it) a 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC and have never gotten a speeding ticket.

There’s a large percentage of the population that’s never had a speeding ticket.  They just don’t hang out here.

Not too excited for the next one, based off of the photos of the MK8 circulating so far. So basically, from the looks department, the GTI / R are pretty much dead to me. Though I would never want to see these cars fade out of existence, just because you get so much car for the amount of money they are, and they’re
