I’ve driven my aunt’s automatic C7 GS, and it kinda sucks. Extremely slow to shift, never shifts at an appropriate time in auto mode, huge pauses between pulling the paddle and it actually changing gear, and lots of “shift request denied” while downshifting on the track.

I’m assuming the C8 DCT will be wayyy better than the C7 automatic. Speaking of which, can someone who has experienced it tell me how’s the auto in the C7? For comparison I have driven a Camaro SS with the 8 speed, does it feel the same? Better tuned? Worse?

Exactly my fear with the C8, its going to be faster, but is it fun?

This is not a surprise. Manuals are fun, but dual-clutches are faster.

Seen a couple of them here in San Diego. But I also see waaaay more Lamborghinis and Ferraris!

Seems like this “shadow banking crisis” has been a Mahindrance to auto sales in India.

You obviously have never seen Maximum Overdrive.

Have a damn star for pretty much explaining what I see on a daily basis.  Especially the fuckery in the fast lane.

GM’s OnStar offers this ‘feature’ already.  It’s opt-in... for now... but I don’t like where it’s headed.

Neutral: Is it concerning? Yes.

I’m trying to counter the pervasive idea that cruise is inherently dangerous in the rain, and somehow keeps going when you lose control, which just isn’t true. Most moderate rain it’s likely fine, and if you do get in trouble, cruise will kick off. These posts all rely on the idea that cruise control in the wet will

I’d agree. I think the situation is that people SAY they don’t like cars built outside their home country but the reality is that they don’t really vote with their wallets in that sense. If people did vote with their wallets then politicians wouldn’t have to make a big deal out of it because there would be no

I literally do not care where my car is built. I care more about who built it. Both of my Japanese cars were built in America. I wouldn’t buy an American car built in America or Mexico or China because what matters to me is how well the car is engineered.

I give it to Kate by a nose over Kevin.

And too many bears here too. Gotta do something about that.
