That last bit was my thought. I would think you’d get some wear (and maybe noise?) if you have just the bare metal arm making contact.

HNNNNGGGGGG....

*whisper* vroom vroom I’m a mid-engined Corvette

vroom vrrooDUHHH DUH-NUHNUHNUHNUH JALOPNIIIIIIIKK!!!

I’ve tried to think of every-which-way this could be a bad take, and it’s not happening. How the heck could it ever be right to touch someone else’s car? If you equate it to any other meaningful belongings of someone, it still feels just as wrong.

In my experience, if see a car you admire, you are respectful and actually have a conversation with the owner, they’ll likely let you sit in their car if you ask. They had to sit in it to drive to the show.  Not so sure about that if you’re at a multi-million dollar car event, but for general shows I’ve seen it holds

Who do you think should program them?

Except, hey, this thing is literally impossible to uninstall. Has anyone else had this issue?

Oh geez, I need to see this.

Additionally, you can use the front of that Challenger to shave with!

Update: I love these responses - I’m glad I’m not the only one.  I’ll take a 60's Lincoln Continental please.

I swear, with the coming of electrification, I want to see more and more of these retro cars out there.

You forgot your sign of sarcasm. Here I’ll provide it for you.

Yep, I’ve looked up those “thunks and thuds” too, and I hear them all the time. At this point I’ve chosen to live with it as well.
The rattling I was hearing was almost a whistling rattling coming from the shifter - you know it’s that if you pull up on the collar (BUT don’t shift into reverse while moving!) while it’s

Seeing this comment months later.  That is one of the best scenes in that movie.
