Weird. Normal people don’t want to buy a $50k car with 7% interest rates, tech that’s outdated faster than a modern smartphone, a business model that’s constantly pushing microservices, and tracks all your movements with no way to opt out or find out where that information is going?

I beg to differ.  The sedan is attractive.  The hatch is an abomination.

Two of them I routinely drive by have a row of Tesla chargers in the back of the parking lot. While the shops are large, they generally lack seating, so you’d be forced to walk around the shop (which I’m sure is good for Bucees). I expect things like the highway Starbucks with chargers I saw to get more common though.

It really does, pretty much the exact kind of place to have for charging stops, stop, wander, micturate, ingest, all while your car chugs down electrons on a fast charger, get enough range for another two hours or so on the freeway. Would do wonders for road trip anxiety in more rural areas.

The irony is that a buc-ees makes an even better argument as an EV charging station
