Not sure if this is a trim package, but I’ve seen some Tesla Model S’s with a red light up T E S L A and Tesla emblem on the trunk trim that light up with the taillights. Tacky as hell.

That is a nice side of the coin, but one worrying side is that regulations could advance to where humans are no longer allowed to drive their pre-autonomous vehicles. Is it possible that that point will happen? Perhaps. I would like to think your scenario would hold true.

I wasn’t alive during that time, but I honestly wonder how customer tastes actually were. After the horsepower and muscle wars of the early 70's, I can’t imagine that any customer took these malaise-era cars seriously.
