roadagain

I am going to have to drive it again in the daylight soon. I'm hoping to make it back in the Fall, this time, as I have already been lucky enough to see the state in Summer and Winter in the past year (Conundrum Hot Springs in Summer blew my mind).

I drove this last June, in dead of night. I did not realize it was so special, as it was very dark, unplanned, and I was too concerned about not dying (and I have driven lots of crazy roads). I had to check GMaps to make sure.

The new use of "swag" comes from the term "swagger." Swagger dates back to the 1700s. Just because you object to the term doesn't mean that this generation is really all that worse to the generations that preceded it. After all, everyone uses colloquialisms.

Their selvedge denim is amazing for the price. They work with Kaihara, the largest Japanese denim manufacturer. For $50, the quality can't be beat. Even if you don't go selvedge, the rest of the denim is a ridiculous value.

No, thankfully they brought back the US online store and have fifteen or so stores in the NYC and SF metros. Still, LA needs a fucking Uniqlo!

I have already seen a bunch of M6 GCs and ton of regular GCs. I don't think they are having any issue selling in CA (I asked when I went in last month, apparently they haven't been able to keep any M6 GCs in stock).

Here is mine. I went for what we would get if my boyfriend replaced his E90 (which may happen yet). As he doesn't like to drive a stick anymore, we would get the Steptronic (plus, this being Southern California, it will inevitably see a lot of stop-and-go and highway driving [I know, same thing]). I really liked the

Yeah, but before the suspended license part came out, there was nothing to suggest it wasn't his name on the agreement. As it was a Lamborghini, the place he was renting from was likely a smaller, independent rental agency. A lot of places will make exception (even some chains) to the "25 or older" policy for a fee,

You don't have to be 25 to rent a car (that is a policy, not a law) and money talks.

The article on Gawker says his entourage shut down a street so he could race another car.

They started changing all the ones I'd go to over to bread baked in store. Although the bread wasn't amazing before (Amoroso's is just good), after the change, I must say I am even less impressed. That isn't to say it's bad, just closer to what the average sandwich chain serves.

Sheetz has fried foods on lock, though. I mean, fried pickles at a convenience store (feels wrong calling it that)! But yeah, WaWa feels higher quality (IME).

WaWa sandwiches definitely seem higher quality, but sometimes I like Sheetz. Thankfully, I grew up in an area with both. As far as coffee, Sheetz now has real espresso (not that I would seek one out) whereas WaWa has machines like any coffee chain.

The laws on hazard lights vary widely by location.

I work in a not-so-nice area and I see tons of K cars.

Well, San Jacinto is a funny example because the town in California is pronounced entirely differently than the county in Texas (silent "J" [generally] vs hard "J").

La Cañada.

lol, don't blame not using the turnouts on "non-locals," there are a lot of holier-than-thou assholes in CA who also don't like to use them.

If money was no object, G-Wagen.
