Think of Bunshu as like a frankenstein’s monster combining aspects of National Inquirer, New Yorker and Us Weekly. It combines aspects of tabloid journalism (although they don’t pay sources) in that it covers a lot of celebrity news, but also is really big on serious investigative journalism.

Idk, partially I blame the translation. As a native speaker who first played the game in Japanese, I felt like a lot of the “word mush” effect people get from FF13 comes from the way compound words can be created in Japanese, but can easily be followed by nature of the language.
