I read a thing about the German Model of Kurzarbiet. The idea is that a German Company doesn’t furlough critical skilled workers, but puts them on short shifts. The government pays a portion of the lost wages to the workers. It costs the government less than unemployment and saves the workforce of skilled workers for

Officer: “So, tell me what happened”

Stay home. Stop procrastinating & fix your collection of shitheaps.

As an owner of a Euro repair shop you need immediately replace the primary timing chain tensioner (will take you 3 hours if you're slow) and the oil separator on the valve cover or it will fail and destroy the rear main seal. Dealer parts on both! I can get you my discount and have drop shipped to you if you want.

Dunno, it's good work, but the internet commentariat will shout BORING one way, and TOO BUSY the other. I like that Honda is making a wild Civic. At least it doesn't have a whale mouth.

“we’ll surpass China in number of cases”

I’m OK with giving rental car companies relief money so long as there is a stipulation that none of the funds can be used to purchase Nissan Versa’s.

For companies that want bailouts, I think there should be a set of criteria to qualify.

1. If you spent your giant tax break money on stock buybacks - go fuck yourself.
2. If your CEO got a giant bonus from tax break money - go fuck yourself
3. If your employees are woefully underpaid, worked to death, and have no

“we need your Land Rover”

Easy to say but when an average citizen blows all their savings trying to weather this storm they tell you to save more this is not socialism.

Youth turnout is not something that anyone should count on because the youth feel, correctly, that government doesn’t care about them and won’t really do anything to work for them.  Most politicians are happy to keep that line of thought going because if the youth get power they might do things like make old rich

Here’s my take on a E-911:

Rear engine + PDK powering the rear wheels RWD
Electric motor for the Front Wheels

The weight savings of not having an AWD system could offset some of the weight from the electric motors/batteries.

Dream transmission: a Manual Transmission which, under normal operation, uses the electric motor

I don’t get why logos are “due for updates” anyway. Unless there’s a fundamental shift in the business that muddles the logo’s message or they used some very period-specific styling in the first place, there’s no need to change something that currently works. It only makes sense when there’s a functional issue to be

You’re not buying a mid 80s aircooled Porsche because you want a Boxster or a Cayman.

I talk to myself all day in real life, why not on the internet?

YES to all of this. Seeing cars that could be sold for the road (even if only produced in very small numbers) was always part of the magic of Le Mans. How fucking cool would it be to see Corvettes battling Ford GT, 911, Vantages and whatever Ferrari for overall Le Mans victories while also being parked in the grass

I said it from the start, Hypercar should have just been GTE with hybrid systems. From there you scrap LMP2, GTE Am can run with BOP restrictors, and add GT3 at the bottom. Boom, fixed.
