It’s crazy how uneven of an experience this game is. While I enjoy the combat, the characters and the execution of the first fully-open world in an FF. The story...is just, man. I had such high hopes when Niflheim invades Lucis. But nah. The story just gets worse. And worse. And now I’m just waiting for patches and

Yeah, no, I just think it’s a poorly-designed section of a game with mostly disappointing narrative execution.
As a mainline Final Fantasy game, it’s easily in the bottom three when it comes to story execution.

Battleborn has some interesting designs but man does it go out of its way to make its characters pretty ugly. The presence of gums here weirds me out.

I don’t think so. It’s basically a game that no one really asked for that didn’t check most people’s boxes.

To be fair, most people count FFXV’s development as starting from 2012/13 as the game known as Versus XIII is a radically different game than what we received as XV and a good amount of the former game was scrapped. Regardless, I am disappointed when it comes FFXV

That’s my situation exactly. I don’t have time that I want to put into that game but mostly because it feels wrong to play a Final Fantasy with such a weak narrative structure. Sure, I like the characters but I just need more to keep me invested.

It’s fine.

I like XV fine but it is definitely not better than X.

It’s the most fine game I’ve played in years.

This...is a bad idea.

Absolutely my favorite thing is that Team Skull is just a bunch of disaffected kids looking to be part of something, instead of mustache twirling hamburglar types like Team Rocket and the others. It’s beautiful.

Wait, so Drive and The Nice Guys suck?
Okay, buddy.

Overcranking is something both sides do too much. Zack Snyder clearly overused it in 300. He got better at using it in Watchmen and it was practically non-existent in later MoS and BvS. Suicide Squad used it poorly most of the time but I like the way Wonder Woman seems to be using it in moments to showcase narrative

Huh, I didn’t get that reading from it at all...

The weirdest thing is being called a Trump supporter because I enjoyed the DC movies haha

I think the way to do it would be to simplify the story past a point where some fans might resent you but at least you’ve got a simple enough starting point to tell a good story.
I think MGS would work as a movie franchise far better than Assassin’s if only because it essentially already is one. If you cut out some of

Everything going for it? The only thing it had going for it was a good(if maybe ill-fitting) director and a good cast.
Assassin’s Creed is a bad IP to make a movie off of. The story is convoluted as all get out and the franchise has a lot of ideas that only work well when you can handwave it away as video game writing.

I don’t know about the visual confusion but Marvel fight choreography is indeed mediocre nine times out of ten.

It’s not really that fucked up not to want your kid to become a subject of interest to the American government. In a world where people know about Area 51 and how fucked up the FBI is, it’s a pretty understandable if flawed perspective. The characterization definitely could have been better and I dislike the way

It’s the Resident Evil of Superhero movies. Only the first one though because that’s the only one worth watching.
