Wait really? I thought they’d be working off a newer build and incorporating newer features into the demo they release after this.
I mean the demo was good but it was pretty simple. If they’re going to release a demo after this, it should probably have the leg-up of representing the game’s systems and nuances more...
Don’t be so bummed out! I think they’re including the magic battle mechanics and driving so you’ll be getting a more fleshed out experience!
Honestly, I’m not sure this demo was worth the hype. It’s got the bones of a good game going for it but it’s still a long way from proving its greatness.

Death from MP falling to zero is an awesome idea and I wish more games would use it. SO3’s story overall was meh but the battle system is still one of the more fun ones in a JRPG I can think of.
I feel you. Granted, Mario Kart does have the ability to be what it wants to be because it’s the more accessible, more popular racing franchise. It’s got way more breathing room to take risks than F-Zero. That’s why I think it also isn’t a bad idea to push the homages if that’s something that could help the latter…

Only a very niche audience would spend 60 dollars in any part due to a demo. And that audience is not as large as a million people.

Whoa, whoa, let’s just calm down here. I just think Final Fantasy on the Xbox has always been one of those things that the numbers never fully reinforced was a good idea. The demographic that Xbox primarily caters to isn’t very keen on JRPG’s for the most part so the consumer support just tends to be weaker for it.
