An FJ60 with a modern powertrain and a fresh coat of paint is not “worth” $100k. That may be what the seller needs to recoup their costs of doing a full restoration and all the modifications; but I would direct them to the handbook on “Buying Someone Else’s Project Car”. Furthermore, they built this in California but

I have OnStar, but if my vehicle gets stolen, I don’t want it back.  I may wait a day or three before telling the police that fun fact.

I’m low key rooting for Lucid, their sedan’s look good to me. And even though I would never be able to afford it, if they could build a nice Coupe, I’d be sold.

Agreed. With gas prices the way they are today if a vehicle is not getting at least 25+ mpg city and 30+ mpg highway then I don’t really consider it “fuel efficient.”  Especially since a lot of the luxury cars on this list require premium fuel.

I own a passport and its thirsty af (get 20mpg combined). Wouldnt call that fuel efficient for mid size

Nice list of sliderless minivans with abysmal fuel economy you got there.....

Not a single SUV to be found.

This is the only answer, we’re done here:

Because if the entry was “I have this 2017 Audi and I’m gonna keep it, just wanted to let you know!” We wouldn’t have a WCSYB column...this is for entertainment purposes.

Another argument for concealed carry (with mandatory training of course).

Looks like an old cop car, not an active one.

Can’t believe CR recommends the Rogue given Nissan’s CVT reliability issues (unless they have been miraculously resolved recently).

For real. We had a 3rd gen Camaro and a small pickup, never seemed like an issue getting me and my siblings where we needed to go.

More like parents like you are what is wrong with kids these days.

I don’t know how those of us who grew up in the back seat of tiny cars managed. I was 6'2 in the 8th grade, and I had a younger brother too - my parent’s cars were ‘70s 911 and a Pontiac Grand Prix - not cars known for their commodious back seats. And I was *grateful* on the rare occasions I could get a lift

That’s the beauty of the Prius — you can rely on gas when the EV runs out so you don’t need to have a charger at the little league practice field.

The way to shut this down would be to find a path to seize the trucks altered and publicize the hell out of that. Demand for this sort of shit would instantly crater, like it did for illegally imported Land Rovers (where they used VINs of old Land Rovers from junk yards to “launder” the illegal imports - that was a

These for whatever reason immediately bring up the image of an old white guy with a stupid looking panama hat and his leathery, over-tanned looking wife driving around town on Sundays. At least that’s what I always see around here.

Well...certainly not if I buy it.

The issue is that the amount paid is vastly higher compared to an ICE vehicle. I put all the math in another comment but for an EV to match an ICE with an MPG of 28 it would take literally 28,000 miles per year of driving to actually match the amount of money paid per mile compared to the current $0.20 per gallon gas
