I'm not commenting on the legal aspects of the story, I just don't see Apple's behaviour as something that should be commended.

No, but it appears to only work with Instapaper. My problem is that I'd like to keep using the Read It Later service, as I also have the Android app.

I have been using Chrome on and off for years now. Currently, one of the things that keep me on Firefox is the awesome Read it later extension. The Chrome alternatives just aren't as good, and they lack offline storage.

I usually carry my Motorola Milestone (European version of the original Droid) and my Sansa Clip+ audio player. The Clip is sturdy, has an FM radio and physical buttons, so it fits better my habit of listening to music and podcasts while on the move.
