Polly is nominally an alpha but it is extremely stable and bug-free. Best Twitter client I ever used.

I'm waiting for the inevitable Daring Fireball post about none of these people wanting an Android phone.

Am I the only one who got that the netbook hating was at least partially in jest?

I like Comix on my Ubuntu netbook. With Unity, it gives me a lot of screen space without the need to go fullscreen.

I still hope they will reconsider this decision: they should be an example to other manufacturers, and the lack of long-term (and sometimes short-term) support is my main gripe with Android. Plus, since the Nexus One is easily moddable, you just know someone will port ICS to it and thus deny any claims of hardware

Actually, Unity is just the evolution of the Ubuntu Netbook Remix launcher, which looked like this in 2008. [www.ugos.ugm.ac.id]

Some people really need the portability. And for the price, netbooks generally offer very good battery life.

But are they dying-dying or just desktop-computer-dying?

Have you tried Read It Later? It has a free version but the Pro one is really worth the price. [market.android.com]

The Ubuntu One app can automatically sync photos with the web and your Ubuntu/Windows computer. There is also a music streaming service, but it requires a monthly fee.

Arguments from popularity suck, that's why nobody uses them anymore.

"The enema you are about to enjoy is extremely hot".

I agree with you. I have an Eee with a dual-core Atom and 2Gb of RAM and I always enjoy using it. I think the general distaste for netbook also comes from the fact that they are somewhat unglamourous and really confusing to choose. I think Asus makes great products for the price but for any new product they push tens

I was very skeptical at first, but I am glad to see these faster release cycles are working well for Firefox.

I just pretend that The Good Wife is happening in Lost's continuity (I think they also did a great True Blood shoutout in their first season).

I can't figure out how to sync my notes with Dropbox, any ideas?

During the Werewolf Divorce Speech I actually expected some kind of visual effect, like when a vampire invitation is rescinded. But then again, I guess the werewolf equivalent of that is hitting someone's nose with a rolled newspaper.

I am kind of disappointed that they only work on Chrome. Not surprised, but disappointed.

"Look, Android is a mess. It's a sloppy, rushed, uninspired piece of early 80s schlock that had no business being as bad as it is".
