I meant they should split with BA and form their own brand together.

Wasn’t David Cross one of those standoffs? I vaguely remember he and “Larry” having some feud some years back.
Just like with Spiderman 3, Bruce Campbell is always a welcome respite from an otherwise terrible movie
I kinda get pissed off when someone says “Disney/Pixar” when talking about a Pixar movie made pre-buyout.
I’ve heard a few stand ups mention that they knew Dan Whitney when they were working the comedy club circuit in the late 80's/early 90's...and they still don’t know what to make of “Larry.”
I don’t expect everyone with their busy lives to track this type of stuff, but I have a pet peeve whenever someone mistakes a non-Pixar animated movie for Pixar. I get the confusion with the Planes movies, but I have heard people mistake stuff like Big Hero 6 and The Croods as the newest Pixar movie. I don’t say…
Sadly, my exposure to Larry was via the radio (remember listening to FM radio? I ‘member) in Orlando on WJRR. He would call in during the morning show and do his shtick. Wasn’t all that funny then, either.
Of the non-sequel ones, I’d say Inside Out and Coco are worth your time.
My thoughts on what I will do going forward:
Disney buying Marvel Entertainment prematurely killed the beloved Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Spectacular Spider-Man, & Wolverine & The X-Men because they weren’t made by a Disney animation studio.
Nope eoghan’s got it right. They could have 100% known he was a rapist and, so long as it didn’t become public and embarrassing, they would have covered his ass. Andrew has a long history of being a skeeve, but imagine all the stories we DIDN’T hear because the royal PR team was so good.
I would really like for the royal family to see “this guy might be a rapist” as more important than “this guy is embarrassing”.
Snyder believes in Ayn Rand and her thinking. “Do what is right if and only if it helps you personally” and “there are makers and there are takers” kind of ideology.
They did that in Superman Returns. I loved it, everyone hated it Brandon Routh got robbed Kate Bosworth is a certified hottie please don’t throw salt in the wound.
But we didn’t actually SEE him doing anything heroic. Based on the stuff we actually see him do in those movies, humanity would be correctly terrified of Superman. It’s why the huge state funeral they give him in BVS makes no goddamn sense whatsoever.
It bewilders me that that scene is from a show that’s sixteen years old, and almost nothing has come out since that handles superhero politics as deftly as it did.
To borrow something from “the other side”:
I guess there was that scene in Homecoming of Spidey stopping those guys in Avengers masks from robbing an ATM, and the beginning of Black Panther where he rescues the women from kidnappers is in that same vein. So maybe the trope isn’t completely dead.
I agree. My issue with MoS, BvsS, JL was specifically Snyder. Cavil is perfect for the part and in fact a bit of the real Superman shone through in some of the Joss Whedon scenes in JL.
If Snyder were taken off storyboarding (*snicker* I know, I know, I’m imagining a Warner Bros. superhero film that was storyboarded), and script detail, and had to shoot what was written, we might be okay.
