Oh, speaking of Guardians of the Galaxy, the ever-fascinating Todd Alcott has turned his discerning eye on that movie. http://www.toddalcott.com/

Fair enough - it's definitely on netflix now (I forget if it's streaming or just dvd). I thought it was an ambitious movie with kind of uneven results. But I thought pretty much every scene with Harvey Keitel and Robin Wright was just brilliant - particularly the digitization. The left turn into Lem-fueled "what

Some kind of injectable nano-cartilage replacement for cartilage in joints. (Particularly the joints they can't do good replacements on, like ankles.) I think it's achievable and it would make life much better for folks I know with bone-on-bone osteoarthritis.

No mention of Robin Wright's "The Congress"?

No mention of Trevor Paglen's book of patches, http://www.amazon.com/Could-Tell-The… "I Could Tell You But Then You Would Have to Be Destroyed By Me: Emblems from the Pentagon's Black World"? It's a look at a bunch of patches like these.

HARD HAT TOUR FOR THE WIN! God, I love Hoover Dam. I don't care if Susan Sontag is right and Art Deco is the aesthetic of fascism, the artwork at Hoover Dam knocks my socks off.

I want to see this as a level in Bioshock Infinite.

I really would've liked to have seen the scouring of the Shire in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

It certainly does.

There are some Satanists I've encountered who are just annoying douchebags, but I have to say that the current spate of folks pushing for religious liberty are just doing a *delightful* job poking people in their bigoted spots and pushing back against would-be theocrats.

I figure that if the person was really dangerous, Agent May would have her finger on the trigger of her gun. Trust in the the situational awareness of The Cavalry. :)

Looking at that pic, Skye needs to work on her trigger finger discipline. Agent May, however, is perfect as always.

The slow loris is venemous? I had no idea! So, it is both adorable and deadly! GOOD JOB EMBRACING THE POWER OF AND, LITTLE MAMMAL!

One of the best things about Star Wars and RotJ is Marcia Lucas' editing.
