I had an Evo IX back in 2008 that I loved, however I got it used and previous owner beat the snot out of it. Eventually I could tell its days were numbered so I traded it in around 2011 for a new car. I kick myself daily for that.

Fast forward to 2018/2019 and I have been on the hunt for an Evo VIII or IX for a while.

Yo dawg.

As an adjuster I have developed a working hypothesis for fault in crashes (work in progress). If there is an accident involving any of these cars, these cars are at fault. Regardless of mitigating circumstances or scenario:

Why... do.... you............ type.... like..... this?.?.?

Organizers can’t control drivers, but they can control spectators. Spectators egg on drivers to do dumb stuff. I know what you a re saying, but if the drivers have no one to perform for and egg them on they won’t drive like idiots. Our CnC does not allow people to stand at the exit and we have never had an accident

This is a bit on organizers, you should not be allowing people to stand and film at the exit, it is an accident waiting to happen.

Showing off in a Boxster? It’s cool, we all know you couldn’t afford a 911. But will you be able to pay for that lawyer now that someone dialed 911?

A performance truck is the closest you can get to the classic muscle car experience in a new vehicle:

Body-on-frame? Check.
Straight rear axle? Check.
Power in excess to traction? Check.
Questionable roadholding? Check.

That said, any modern truck will have far better braking and interior comfort than a muscle car did. So

Amen. Trucks like that screams pencil dick and pea-sized nads.

I’m not against performance pickups, just these dumbassmobiles:

Towing ? Check !
Power !? Check
Handling ! Check.
Practicality ? yes !
Wagon FTW !

That ain’t a truck, that’s a odd looking car

Now this is something that confuses me:
Honda L15B7 @ 20.5 psi = 205 hp
Honda B16 w/turbo @ 20 psi = ~400 hp
How is this 20 year old Honda engine so much more powerful?
Could you imagine back in the day if you had a 160 hp 2000 Civic Si, installed a turbo, cranked the boost up to 20 psi, and made only 205 hp?
That would

Because it doesnt need changes, nobody thinks the WRX is underpowered

Subaru like your best friend from college that somehow managed to graduate while getting hammered playing beer pong and halo on xbox. 5 years later they have a career job, married, and have kids. You’re like “lets do something crazy!” and Subaru responds “ I have a 401k and my boss likes me, I have a reputation to

THats weird...it’s almost like the Miata is a smaller, faster, two seat sports car convertible while the the BRZ is the slowest 2+2 coupe on the road.

Mass market turbo? Just get an Edelbrock Supercharger and call it a day. The damn thing is Carb rated too for people living in the communist republic of California.

its not the 205 part that’s the problem, its the average power which is around 110 hp averaged out over the entire range. The the FRS doesn’t need more peak power it needs more average power. To make that live, my cheating 2.0 TDI makes about the same average power.

I was about to comment how they would probably sell only 3 because nobody would buy a Land Cruiser with 2 000 horsepower and a price tag of around half a million (maybe? probably more...), then I remembered.

The UAE exists.

So this is actually a pretty sound business case.

It doesn’t matter if you duck to the inside under braking, or lock ‘em up and slide across the apex, a pass is a pass.
