People throw around the word “hero” a little too much.

I do not like that he is being called a hero. There’s conflicting reports of either shielding family, or he died instantly before anyone knew what to do.

They wouldn’t just spit on you/us: They would gleefully kill you/us in cold blood.

Adam Kinzinger is right there. Old School Republican. I don’t like his politics but at least he doesn’t appear to be a fucking psychopath.

This is why Stewart’s show is stuck in 2004. He still thinks there’s a way forward in trying to deal with outward fascists. He’s still trying to “both sides” everything when one side wants to literally kill and imprison the other. Having O’Reilly on the show is gross as shit, no one should give him a platform to say

It’s funny, because that’s one of the reasons these fuckers are so riled up: something happens that they didn’t learn in grade school (and which occurs in a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the population), people say “Hey, this exists, just so you’re aware,” and it broke their fucking brains so

If political punditry is pro wrestling, and it is, this shit was Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair having a match in their 70s.

What the everloving fuck is wrong with the Stewart and the show that they thought this was a good idea?

Yes lets be united with the... *checks notes* president and vice president nominees who have called for violence against democrats, removal of Mexicans, and think trans people should not exist.

I’m happy more and more Americans are coming around to the gender-neutral use of “cunt”.

I have to say, I know that “sex pests” is a phrase used in the UK and perhaps elsewhere, but I’ve always thought it’s such a goofy and inadequate way to describe a sexual predator. I think of “pest” as something that’s annoying at worst.

He was always really proud of his “thing” with Bill O’Reilly. Nauseating and more than a bit out of touch.

If Jon thinks having Bad Faith Argument O’Reilly on to discuss the political divide is “balance”, what does that say about him?

Yeah, the main issue at this point with O’Reilly is not that he’s some reasonable opponent who disagrees on policy or even some calculating dickhead who is rallying an easily manipulated base for clicks; it’s that he’s a sexual predator who’s had tens of millions of dollars paid out to settle the complaints against

Damn, it’s almost like cancellation and relaunch has been a major industry strategy for decades or something. Fuck, all those X-Books that just got cancelled must have been total bombs, huh?

Ligaments springs into action seemingly to prove the article’s point.  Weird.

“Journalists” (or whatever the folks at Jez/Giz/AV Club should be called) really need to stop mining Twitter/X for takes. It’s right wing shitheads all the way down.

Racist keyboard warrior middle aged white dudes are upset at actually gainfully employed middle aged whites dudes who don’t have a chip on their shoulder working with a strong independent black woman as their boss.

Elon’s fan club , stay classy!?

Mediocre white dudes trying to gatekeep adaptations of books they have clearly never read is one of the most ridiculous things ever. I’ve seen so many comments about how this adaptation of three characters who have been super popular for a super long time (Kamala less, but still) is somehow pandering to an outside
