You all live in the same dream world. You think the every D since 1973 has been pro-choice.

Obama had 60 Democratic senators. There was one from Arkansas, one from Nebraska, one from Indiana and one from Montana. Some of those guys make Manchin look like the Sanders cousin too liberal to get invited to Bernie’s house

Sure starting to look like we’re setting up to do it all again too, doesn’t it?

Not just that but a member of the establishment of the very country the US broke free from for  supposed reasons of restrictions of their civil rights.

So Alito is getting his support from a dude at a time when we weren’t even a country yet. We’re so far gone I can’t even.

Alito’s stance on abortion seems rooted in the idea that, functionally, that women just don’t really have any bodily autonomy at all in some circumstances.

Those aren’t their real names?

“People have a knee jerk reaction to facing our history because ‘whiteness’ and ‘white supremacy’ are used interchangeably with ‘white people’ for a large portion of those who use the terminology.”

They are not patriots per se, they are post-moderns who are skeptical of reason, science, and so on, and instead see everything in terms of ideology and power dynamics.

And amazing how the Party of Lincoln . . . crap, I am too exhausted to complete that thought yet another time.

Oh, the school vouchers thing is a truly brilliant way to remove a public service.

It just shows that they’re nationalists, not patriots. Patriots can love their country but recognize its flaws. Patriots want to make their country a better place, which involves admitting it’s not already a perfect place.

If there’s one thing the right is insanely good at, it’s getting their mob worked up about things. Why can’t the left, or even the center left (especially the center left) get people mobilized as much?

We really appreciate how hard you worked on the joke-pun-names.

The repub long game of systematically destroying education and demonizing critical thinking really is a masterstroke.

That’s rich coming from the group that loves to scream “facts don’t care about your feelings” in the faces of Trans people.  Just another victory for whitewashed history I suppose.

Amazing how the party of “free speech” wants to make sure no one can actually speak about things.

It says quite a lot that the screen captures are from Faux News. There are other right-wing disinformation venues out there, but none with the absolute per-capita brainwashing power of Faux News with Tucker-yo Rose and Spawn Hammyface.

It’s amazing how brittle some are, such that “America’s history is a bit shit” causes such paroxysms of denial and rage. Doesn’t say much for patriotism that it can’t acknowledge what it loves isn’t perfect.

I used to legitimately worry about my pot habit when I was young. Not enough to give it up, of course, but I at least tried to pay attention to where wanting to chill out and listen to some music or whatever might be getting in the way of goals.

I can’t disagree with this statement by Hawley, and I can only hope that the January 6th Commission will hold Hawley responsible for his seditious behavior that furthered an attempt to overthrow the United States government.
