Yeah, coding it for manual REx control (>75% charge) makes it notably more versatile for trips and such. We virtually never use the REx under normal use, but it (plus a little planning) made a recent 1,500-mile trip very reasonable to accomplish with charging mostly while eating or sleeping. We’re on our 2nd i3

I still do not understand why they do not bring this car to the US. It’s not that Americans do not like small cars, it’s that Americans do not like Sparks and Mirages.

You’re

Oh, it’s very pointless. :) It’s also very fun. xD I think I’ll cut them loose after one final comment. lol

I think arguing with Luke_Danwalker is kinda pointless. The guy insists on stating his opinion as fact. I mean, you can just end the conversation right there. People who see the world in black and white are either prophets, crazy folk, or assholes. Usually, the Venn diagram for that has a TON of overlap.

...the I3 is for hipsters and rich house wives.

I enjoy carpooling to work every day in an i3 with an interior like this one. It’s one of the nicest, and most interesting interiors I’ve seen in any car. It reminds me of a cross between a german man’s leather-padded tweed jacket, and the balcony of a warehouse-style loft.

But it’s a completely subjective point without any data to back it up? I mean, I could just say how smarts were on the cool side of Top Gear’s ‘Cool Wall’ back in the day. Let people buy what they want, there’s no need to “stand up for what’s cool”.

Is a Smart car cool? We have mostly agreed as a civilization that those are not cool cars.

It’s no more hideous than a brown diesel station wagon.

Stop stepping out in front of them ;)

Related to the BMW/Audi experience, this was in a Tom McParland post from 2 years ago:

Before I bought my current Mustang GT, I was cross shopping between the Mustang, the Audi S3, and the BMW M235i. They were all comparably priced (mid-$40K range) and had comparable performance. I’m youngish for that price range (was 33 at the time), and it was a weekend, so I was dressed in relatively ratty jeans and

Is this the new gimmick we’re doing now? “Cheat Codes” for cars?

You forgot step 5: “Verify bill is flat, crack open a 24 oz. Monster, and put on some Limp Bizkit.”

How exactly would one crash into the side of a semi for this to even be an issue?

Two deaths is a small price to pay for this dope-ass stance. I’ll be in the back seat with your mom. Sincerely, YouTube.

PBS makes some good shit, watched a ton of their stuff on on Netflix. It would be a real shame if a bunch of immoral greedy fucks were to defund it.

I think you got the wrong thread. :)
