I dont think the console has extra juice necessarily, I think the fixed hardware allows developers to make optimizations and take shortcuts that arent possible on a PC where the system specs are variable

Agreed, this is a pretty decent PC for the price. It definitely out-performs an xbox or ps4.
Personally I was not a fan of ToG, the sluggish movement felt completely at odds with the bullet-hell style dodging. Personally I recommend Ziggurat, which is a very similar game but the movement, shooting, etc feels much better
Looks good, but I find myself wishing they would add a few sentient aliens that don’t conform to the generic humanoid shape. I would love to see a race of centaurs or something that doesn’t walk upright on two legs.
I think it would allow for some cool/interesting sci-fi settings too, like a city with a large…
I recommend sitting on the couch with friend and watching them play. That way you get to provide immediate input throughout the game, without the stress of having to play
Which games are fun is a matter of opinion, but I enjoy Keep talking and nobody explodes, EVE Valkyrie, and Dirt 3 quite a bit. They are all games that can be played without VR, but are noticeably improved by having it. None of them have really made me feel seasick.
I don’t know if they really can merge the Half Life and Portal stories anymore. The setting of Portal 2 is 200 years after the first Portal. Portal 1 presumably takes place sometime in the ten years that pass between Half Life and Half Life 2. Basically by the time period of Portal 2, the Combine have long since left…
Actually, ten years since Episode 2 (2007) and six years since Portal 2 (2011)
That actually really bugged me. The rebel fleet is packing up to go home, when they hear at the last moment that people are on the surface of Scarif. So they are all able to mobilize and show up to lend support within 5 minutes, but the Empire is apparently unable to call any other nearby star destroyers to lend a…
I was actually really impressed with how good Tarkin looked. The tentacl-y aliens and Leia were far more obvious to me
I actually thought Donnie Yen was the worst part of the movie. I know hes supposed to be Force sensitive, but shooting down a tie fighter was a bit much. Later when he slowly walks through a ton of laser fire without getting hit was ridiculous. Even Vader has to deflect or dodge lasers
Me too, a good game is a good game, doesn’t matter what you play it on.
This proves nothing, except that DSPSpanky is good at Overwatch regardless of what control type he uses, and that his Lucio strategy is effective on any sytem.
Completely agree, there are only so many things you can do in a racing game, going fast gets old eventually. Honestly though, I am really happy with any game that keeps me entertained for an entire month. 5-10 hours is all I get out of most games before I start to want something else
They’re too good at playing the game, but they spin it to sound like they are too good at their job
Yes. Good testing requires ensuring that the game works as well for the bad players as it does for the good players. This includes intentionally sucking at the game as much as possible
In my experience, very few, if any, testers have access to the source code.
This mistake has absolutely nothing to do with programming. It could be blamed on the developers for not providing an accurate list of dialog choices to the testers, but that is a documentation issue unrelated to code quality.
The picture with the cat creeps me the hell out. She looks like shes made of plastic
I have a feeling they are waiting until they have more units produced. Nintendo got burned when they released the gamecube port adapter for wii-u, only to have them all bought up by scalpers on day one. Then the scalpers turned around and sold the adapters for 4x the orignial price. I think they are trying to avoid…
