I was let down by the Hobbit from the moment it was announced. There were many other Tolkien stories that would have been more entertaining, particularly the Silmarillion for me.

Agreed and the battle of Helm’s Deep was jaw dropping at the time

In this particular case I believe that both are accurate

I actually bought The man who killed Hitler and then the Bigfoot specifically because of Sam Elliot and was pleasantly surprised by it. To say I had low expectations would be quite the understatement but it was a decent little flick.

I enjoyed Good Omens but I never read the book.. I have read American Gods and I think it could have been really good had they not continually changed the show runner and cast.

might as well be now that they don’t have the expanse

Everything I have heard about seems promising but I honestly still have no clue what it will be a bout or who the Eternals are. I could have said the same about Guardians before it’s debut though so maybe it will be great.

the whole “balance to the force” thing just convinces me that they were all republicans

Man, you could never have enough pouches in the 90's, which is odd because it was also the decade of the fanny pack which one would think would make pouches less necessary

it is not a coincidence that Russell Wilson is extremely devout and tried to claim that vitamin water prevented concussions

as long as the cure isn’t bud light because then I’ll just have to die I guess

religion in general doesn’t make sense, all of them break down under the slightest logical scrutiny

The extreme right wing evangelicals have really cornered the market on grifting. It happened right under my nose without me realizing it. I’m old enough to remember when the grifters were ne’re do wells that had to stay on the run to sell their snake oil. Now they are “mouthpieces for God” and have entire churches and

the only upside to those days is that if you had multiple 7-0's in your number, people had to really want to speak to you to actually dial your number.  Never would be spam calls if we were still on rotary.

I am 38 and I have no clue why anyone would want to relive the rotary phone

I’m not biting on this tech until they make a phone that is just like the old slap bracelets you would wear on your wrists in grade school.
