Saab and Pontiac would be printing money if they stuck around long enough to make retro futuristic models like Dodge, Porsche and Ford have been printing money with.

I like the execution of the current Civic Si and Type-R models and they are on the top of my list for fun daily drivers but there’s still something primal dwelling within me that yearns for the VTEC crack and intake howl of an 8000 RPM, Naturally Aspirated K-Series motor. Hence why pretty much every manual trans K-seri…
Pretty sure most of the issues are with the 2.0 turbo and 2.4 n/a motors in the Hyundai and Kia lineup. 6 and 8 cylinder models are pretty bullet proof from what I’ve seen but I could be wrong.
I’ll just go whole hog and say that anything that doesn’t have to do with music, GPS or phone calls should have a hard button.
Good thing aftermarket units are easier and easier to get nowadays
Driving from city to city on a well paved highway with nothing but the driver and their coffee and doing livery service in a crowed city with potholes, curbs, and traffic are two completely different use cases.
This is looking like prime Golf R or Civic Type-R territory
Older luxury GT coupes like the Mercedes CL65, Bentley Continental and Aston Martin DB9 have a special place in my heart but Good Lord do I want nothing to do with the long term repair and insurance bills. Same could be said for any of the current high end options save for the Lexus LC500 and Porsche 911.
I can’t speak for the American market but as a Canadian, I really feel that the premium Hatchback and Wagon market could make a serious comeback as younger buyers with disposable income in denser cities may not want or need a giant SUV to fulfill their needs as far as practicality is concerned. The fact that we don’t…
We’re you expecting a Jaguar F-Type R or Ferrari to be on the list or something?
And it will be fast and competition ready with factory support and zero mileage.
If they can just figure out how to keep the metal shavings out of their bearings and have actual anti theft systems, they’d be a solid option.
Every new detail screams cover up
Find the nicest 2010+ Civic Si you can in your budget and be happy
Pretty much every 90s and early 00s pickup truck thats semi reliable and not rusted to hell. I don’t care if Chevy makes good V8s, I’m not paying $15k for 2003 Silverado with a rusted cab and 250000 kms.
A few years ago I used to live in the Greater Toronto Area and by far the cars that terrorized my peace the most were straight piped Coyote Mustangs and BMW 3/4 series coupes with popcorn tunes. Always the worst variety of anti-social psychos behind the wheel of either one.
- New car is revealed
$78k for a 23 year old kit car with a Chevy iron block in it is quite the ask when you are very firmly in Porsche 997(With mods), C7 Corvette Z06, Mustang GT350/Mach-1/Dark Horse and Gen 3 Viper SRT-10 territory.
I’m willing to bet we see a hybridized version of the Elantra N’s 2.0 Turbo
Are you serious?
