If its a hybrid, regen shouldn’t be an issue for a high end sports car.

Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit, is it?

The Mini Cooper and Porsche 930 Kremer from City Hunter are slept on as far as anime hero cars go.

You mean a supposedly eco-friendly mode of transportation that is prohibitively expensive for the majority of the population is being co-opted and re-branded as a status symbol? Its almost like the main objective of the last 5 years was to greenwash the transportation industry and force consumers into a spot where

If Chevy put this motor in a compact car and undercut import makes on price like they used to, it would sell. GMs main problem is that they lost a lot of their homegrown buyer base to import manufactures in the 90s and 00s If you ask most people what they would buy given the options for the same amount of money,

That’s impressive and all but how many people are going to pay 50k-70k for a Chevy Blazer that isn’t a restored/low mileage K10? At least Ford slapped a Mustang logo on the Mach-E to get people on board.

We can blame GM for not offering hybrid options on their economy models to offset whatever emissions deficits they would have had with 6 and 8 cylinder engines just like Honda, Toyota and even Jeep are doing now. Offering a motor with less power and displacement than the outgoing model and no electrification to make

I’m hoping and praying the manual option is carried over to the 4Runner as well.

Ford is on a roll for recalls the last few years

As long as its waterproof and can take a decent tumble without breaking, I’m not mad at it.

You’d be better off just getting a Taycan Sport Turismo if you wan an actual EV wagon.

Has a $100k+ price tag ever stopped someone looking for a luxury SUV?

Lemme guess, we’re still hanging on to nostalgia for the 2.2 CL?

Chris Harris just bought a Land Cruiser and Matt Farah drives a Mustang Mach-E. This take is dead in the water off the fact that according to you, car enthusiasm starts and ends with having $100k+ for an SUV and nothing left for a weekend car.

The average enthusiast would be more than happy with a GS350 F-sport or TLX Type-S. The hardcore keyboard warriors that argue about 0-60 times and lateral Gs hate everything that isn’t a 911 GT3 RS.

As a former college kid and soon to be graduate, just buy a Civic and be happy.

It would certainly make a decent case for a city cruiser/uber with 20-30 miles of EV range and decent combined power.

Or at least offer a hybrid option to get efficiency up if that’s the goal.

I’m wondering if that motor will be supplemented by an electric motor

I think we’ve established that buyers want a low slung coupe profile with the lifted high of an SUV for the last 10 years. Especially among the younger buyers who don’t necessarily care for driving dynamics or logic. As long as fuel consumption isn’t bad, phone connectivity is easy and they can fit 4 adults
