I think referring to this as an ‘expansion’ gives a false sense of the scope of content added; ‘event’ is probably more appropriate. Or ‘mini-game’.

Given how Trump equates anything gold or gilded as luxury/wealth/status I imagine he probably would have considered accepting the offer were it not for the disclosure that the toilet was used by the public.
I get similarly frustrated with that sort of ding on my record.
As the Uncle I definitely opt for the ‘fuck them up in a different way’ approach... I get all the benefit of knowing how my parents reacted to X or Y scenario without the pressure of actually being the parent, which I think can sometimes make the wrong reaction seem like the best option at the time.
When my husband would first come home each evening I would immediately ask him about his day and start telling him about mine or something silly the dogs did. I work from home and in my defense... I don’t speak to anyone most days between the time my husband leaves for work and comes home. So you know... little…
Was also used in U.S. Military as well as in various government-related buildings though as I’m sure you can imagine post-WW2 saw a lot of that get changed.
Its shape exists in virtually every religion or culture. The swastika (by one name or another) is as you said a Native American symbol. It was also used by Christians, in Judaism, Islam, in Greece, etc.
but I still unconsciously recoil from images of it because of how heinous and how iconic it is.

It really opens up a whole can of worms doesn’t it?
Off the top of my head and with some help from the inter webs here are a few examples. Granted... several of these would still be considered acceptable only within their respective communities.
I think calling it culturally-illiterate is being kind. Rather I think we don’t talk about swastikas for the same reason we don’t have honest discussions about racism; it’s uncomfortable so we make it taboo.
I think Aruhje’s comment is rather telling though...
Just to be clear...
I find Devrim’s voice very soothing in the game; even on adventures where I’m thinking “Oh fuck oh fuck I’m gonna die and have to do it all over again!” he’s there with a little chuckle and a quip.
I mean you say that like you wouldn’t watch Dahmer and Gacy duke it out. But I’ll tell you what... I’d probably enjoy that more than I’d enjoy watching any football.
Or you know...
Conservatives are proud of her because she’s being exactly what they insist a wife should be: Attractive and Quiet.
You are misunderstanding events, but it’s understandable as it is a nuance that is not well-covered in the storyline.
I don’t believe a word McConnell says; he made a similar ‘promise’ to Collins about stabilizing premiums to secure her vote for the tax bill.
