When did you go? I just find it very odd that you were forced to drink low ABV beer. I didn’t have that problem whatsoever. And we didn’t just stay near Reykjavik (but we didn’t do the whole ring road, either).

Hmm. I never had that perception. It is smaller, yes, but it is very nice. Maybe it’s the different colored roofs and generally low building height which give you that vibe.
The beer is not 2%. There is one pilsner that is 2.25%, but everything else was normal. There is booze too. Buy it duty-free to save some money.
It’s not 2%. It is normal beer. But yes it is expensive.
You are wrong about the beer ABV. There is only one beer sold at that ABV. The most popular beer, Gull, which, yes, is shit, is still above 5%. If you don’t like the price, go to a grocery store or buy some booze duty-free.
For the record, I’ll just add that I didn’t go because of some dumbass stopover marketing campaign. I went because it looked beautiful in a movie (Secret Life of Walter Mitty) and in my page-a-day calendar.
Mine did too but they were WAY more money. I drove some little POS hatch with a manual. Acceleration was non-existent. We got blown around by the wind. We couldn’t hear each other over the wind noise. It was great.
Average rent for a one bedroom in Reykjavik is about $1000/month. Average monthly salary is $4500+. Pretty nice trailer park.
Sorry, Tom, but it was by far the most beautiful place I have ever been. Certain specific places come close, but, taken as a whole, nothing comes close. Every inch of that country is unbelievably beautiful. That manual car you mentioned? I had to drive mine down the middle of the road because I was constantly…
Carpooling to a state tournament American Legion baseball game at 18 years old. Cell phones were just becoming ubiquitous, so we made a sign that said “hang up and drive” and showed it to all drivers on their phones.
My favorite part was when he talked about his conversation with Betanyahu. Whoever that is.
I suggest an early to mid-2000s Sequoia (3rd row seat), or 4Runner.
The Panda reference is to rap song by Desiigner. His X6 has black rims (and maybe a black roof), and therefore resembles a Panda. He repeats the word a billion times in the song. It is about the only word you can actually understand, too. To be honest, I think the song started getting radio play because it was just…
I guess you all just don’t get it. PANDA PANDA PANDA!!!
To be fair, that amount of rust on a 1984 Toyota is really impressive for a Wisconsin automobile.
I took a class in college called History of the Middle East (because liberal arts). We had to read some random fiction novel for it (so random that there were no SparkNotes). And then we were going to discuss in class. This wasn’t a situation where you’d discuss like a chapter per class. This was the entire fucking…
Baseball has minorities, though, so I would say hockey?
Most people from Milwaukee were just getting into the Bucks.
I would have also put Bogut’s broken arm (2009-10). People forget that the Bucks were actually pretty good that year until that happened. Still almost beat Atlanta in the playoffs that year with 37 year old Kurt friggin’ Thomas at Center.
How much blame does Jabari (and the Bucks, I suppose) get for not training at all this summer? In his “The Ringer” profile he says he didn’t train and that all he did was play basketball.
