I think you’re right - Mario has the Christmas market covered, Nintendo don’t need to pull out the big pokeball-shaped guns yet. Sticking the Sun and Moon sequels on 3ds and releasing in November (as per tradition at this rate) will ensure healthy 3ds Christmas sales too.

I tried out Pokken in an arcade when I was over in Tokyo and I played it briefly on wii-u, actually pretty excited that is coming to switch, could see me playing this for a few hours at home or on the move.

Think many of us saw this coming, but still a bummer. I’m still happy to be getting a new game (I’ve been a Pokemon fanboy since day 1) but it feels like a step backwards when the Switch is a perfectly viable handheld option.

I haven’t seen either yet, was looking for the blu rays - which would you recommend watching first?

This helped me finally make up my mind, I’m going to hold off for now. I adore handheld gaming and the docking system really appeals to me. I also love the kind of gaming experiences I can only get with Nintendo. That said, there’s just too much up in the air right now.
