@kenboy127: I use Peaks and Peak.AR (I find Peaks to be better) when I am hiking to ID the nearby mountains.

Sweet, they've got ROM 9.13? I'm stuck on ROM 8.4. I wonder if they'll let me copy it from them. I hear ROM 9.x added a whole new set of features.

@Acore: Yeah, I am hoping to find a deal like that. I need to start yard saleing more. There are lots around. I have a bunch of lenses for a Leica SLR, but the body is seized from 30 years of salt water. I'd love to get a body for the lenses, but I think unless I find a super deal, I'll sink my money into the Zeiss.

@Acore: I'm going to do most of my work on a 50's-60's era Zeiss Contarex (Bullseye). I've got a 55mm f/1.4 on it right now, and I have to get the other lenses from my uncle. The first batch of photos from it came out pretty good exposure-wise, but it uses a fresnel lens in place of the usual ground glass focusing

@james-42: I don't consider B&W limited.

@Redrum4breakfast: I just need to contact the condo association to see if I'm allowed to put in an external vent, and if I can, I'll get someone in to install that and a sink down there. I'll make some counter space myself.

I'm going the exact opposite direction. With the film camera collection I received from my grandfather, I'm looking into developing my own film and moving on to turn my utility room in the basement into a dark room for doing prints as well.

@a_of: Watch out!

@nootron: I think you meant:

I don't see this as being a practical solution to the problem of "I don't want to carry a lock."

@september11th: Most phones ask for confirmation. It seems like a poor choice to not request the confirmation.

So, this is like ChatRoulette but you're going to get an Apple employee? There is no way this can go poorly.

This guy is very balsillie calling the competition out like that.

@ewrestler305: The Apple Store I picked mine up at had no accessories today aside from the dock. There were no screen protectors or even bumpers.

@Kerensky97: I think almost all homes built in the last half-century have coax in the walls.

@SaunJay1: They are measuring the individual color pixels. 13.333 x 3 = 40 microns x 40 microns. You need red, green, and blue.

Someone getting paid well at Google spent his or her 20% time on this.

@blehbleh13: Yeah, that's what I was referencing mostly. It is definitely neat to think that we're approaching the point where handheld devices can have a display that is as crisp as an unaided eye cannot distinguish pixels, but we're not quite there yet.

@ekap: Your eye won't have the resolving power up close due to lack of proper focus. If you really want to try to see the pixels, you should find a picture that will alternate black and white lines per-pixel. If you can see black and white lines, you can see the pixels. If you only see gray, then your eye can't
