Yes plz

Whoa there

I’ll wear this with a crop top for a trance party in goa

This is not unintelligent for tucking purposes

I’ll gladly wear the orange+fur and the white fur :) :) :)

It’s not the color... I googled the grey burger and it looks a-ok to me... but the fact that in the ad, it’s shiny like marble. That’s some weird sh*t.

Werner Herzog interviews Kanye West is a genius idea. Or the other way around.

i would rather look like whitney than nicole arbour, she’s cute, and like she said happy looking! nicole arbour looks heinously bitchy, i’d be ashamed to walk down the street with her expression on my face.

i totes agree.
like, there are productive ways to contribute to a healthier, better informed society. what she made is NOT that, and she knows it... she says “i hope this explodes into you face like shrapnel and seeps into your soul so that you decide not to be fat anymore” or something like that: ie she knows her

I totally dig everything you just said. I could describe a similar evolution! I think you learn that uniqueness comes from so many different experiences, some of which aren’t necessarily geographically far...
And yes, definitely, about the difference between travelling and living abroad.
And I’d add to that living

Also, just read the hairpin interview, and I like it way better than this. I know the writerly temptation to distill ideas into something coherent with an overarching trope is there, but the result dumbs her down. Her interview is simply much more playful and fun to read and makes me like her :)

That said her new look is way cute.

Yeah, this piece is very “first time backpacking”, which painful as it is to admit, maybe a lot of us experienced but then got over???

Yeah to be honest travel pieces often suck (in my opinion). Like, all the tropes are old and dead.
Eat Pray Love, anyone?

At one point when I was struggling to pay my rent I gave my 3 month notice, and shortly thereafter used almost everything I had to buy a round trip ticket to and from India for a 2 month escape. The round trip ticket cost me 500 euros, about the same as a month of rent. As for work, was working at a vineyard, and in

Haha. And I was nitpicking :)

My phrasing was a bit off. I didn’t mean not preserving/passing on traditions and culture. I definitely <3 traditions and culture. I meant that I don’t care about preserving a “bloodline” of this or that group. But traditions: I def plan on doing Jewish holidays with my kids, as well as making them curry and delish

Meh, we obviously have different definitions of “being”.
As to “what’s the point of being Jewish”... Nothing, according to you! You win! Ok then, I’ll just stop identifying as Jewish cause I’m not in a congregation and cause there’s always an xmas tree next to my menorah.

I like what you say. Changing with the times.

I am half Indian and half Jewish, I identify as Indian and I identify as Jewish. Never had a bat mitzvah. Don’t know Hebrew, rarely went to synagogue. Don’t speak any Indian languages. But I’ve travelled and seen my ancestors’ names on gravestones and on the wall of a Synagogue in Europe, I’ve gone to India and seen
