In my country, sometimes like even soapies have poor translating of local languages. I understand enough Afrikaans to read a line and think that’s not what was just said. And presumably these are people from that culture translating it wrong.

Here to say this. Great movie.

That’s just all (film) translations in general, though. There’s always a lot of nuance in language and cultural context that you just can’t convey in the few seconds you have until the film moves on.
