“The near-death experience they face when going the wrong way on the highway could have been easily avoided by using a navigation app.”
You’ve clearly never had a navigation app send you the wrong way up a one-way street.

I’m not sure if it’s just children running this site or if they’re deliberately baiting by omitting obvious older choices (see also: list of “best” Thanksgiving episodes), but the lack of OSCAR-WINNER Babette’s Feast is just insulting
That person is a racist troll just trying to stir shit up by impersonating another commenter. It should go without saying that they are also a coward and a huge fucking loser.
“We need more people whose lives are already in danger to put themselves in more danger.”
Let’s be real, it’s going to die a slow, boring death as it gradually gets worse and worse and loses users, rather than having a big dramatic death. Just like The AV Club.
I knew a kid in college who was planning to bunker down with his family over the holiday break. Never saw him in the spring, so he might still be down there.
I’d probably watch it, because Neve Campbell, but the premise sounds like about half a dozen (likely better) shows I could find just by turning on Britbox.
Neve count your chickens before they're hatched.
Fortunately, we’re here and you can still get mine:
I was unfortunately in a bar with a tipsy acquaintance just last night who I previously did not know to be a Muskbro, going on about how Elon has a big master plan and none of us are smart enough to understand his galaxy-brain four-dimensional chess that involves overpaying for something stupid and then making it…
Don’t worry. By Friday, you’ll be in love.
Surely you can grok the distinction between “I don’t care about this” and “No one should care about this.”
FTFY.
lives outside of Twitter you say?
May I recommend the Kinja AV Club for all your social and pop culture needs?
This guy’s post was a joke, not literal.
(But it IS damn funny! And not at all implausible.)
Thing is gangster movies and cowboy movies weren’t AAA-level, necessarily- though the latter were at times you saw plenty of B and C level cowboy pictures. Problem with doing that now is people are seeing these films based on the brand, they don’t see movies in that genre outside of the familiar brand.
Those aren’t his two top picks. Those are just two movies he recently said he liked, in separate interviews, completely unrelated to this podcast. The author is trying to draw a connection here and doing a lot of editorial hypothesizing.
I highly doubt anyone reading that sentence, which ends with Art eating the protagonist’s face, would assume the cutting someone in half scene was in the vein of a magic trick.
Having watched it last night, it’s definetely not torture porn. The kills are so absurdly over the top and unrealistic, amazing practical effects notwithstanding, that it’s more of a gonzo comedy in the realm of stuff like Jackson’s Bad Taste or Braindead, but with a nastier edge.
This seems like a weird point in the history of the A.V. Club to start posting with an (admittedly well-done) gimmick account.
