Because there is almost no tradeoff to obscene power in an EV.

I mean, it was a Lincoln MKZ soooooooooo.

Just need to keep cans of paint and shotguns handy and we’ll be fine.

NHTSA’s previous investigation pretty said as much. It’s not reasonable to expect AP to reliably react to ANY stopped vehicles that are partially in the lane.

It really isn’t reasonable. Why should you expect a system that requires your constant attention and ability to take over at any time to be able to do anything the world throws at you. AP is a Level 2 system. I dont think you will find any documentation that states level 2 systems need to be able to react to emergency

“Local environmentalists say that the plant could pollute drinking water, which may or may not be true. (It is probably true.) That is the kind of thing that you might usually brush off, as corporations routinely steamroll environmentalists, because capitalism.”

Is that okay in New York? It isn’t in Virginia.
You may not be a first-responder, but you could be the first to call 911.

I would have pointed this out, but then I’d be a shill or stan.

This is a bad take. That speed bump specifically causes him problems. Look more closely at the picture. It’s obvious there’s a problem specific to his garage. As he exits his garage, the sidewalk slopes down into a gutter, but the speed bump is much higher than the gutter.

It was in front of his garage he wasn’t hitting it at speed. It’s possible it was just a shitty speed bump.

Good point, things worked out just fine for Edsel!

They’ve been exploring hydrogen for far longer than BEVs, and here we are. I don’t see hydrogen becoming a better option for anyone other than the manufacturers who don’t want to have to drastically change everything in the near term.

This guy is here...

Generally, yes. There are clear instructions and most fire departments are proactive and train for this kind of thing.

Well, if the largest window encounters a problem, they already have the code brown part figured out.
