If NHTSA could stop shitting the bed with fundamentally misunderstanding adaptive headlights so that many of these aiming issues could become moot points, that’d be greeeeat....

I prefer to channel my inner Ralphie.

Green is fine, when they turn red, run.

I guess that explains why I’m not a tesla investor.

There are some close-up shots of the green lights in the video, and they look like nothing more than banks of green LEDs.

I have always taken that advice. <shrug>

Ask him why people never get spacial disorientation when they fly simulator aircraft. People use more than just their eyes to drive.

It’s a fine long term goal, but the image processing just isn’t there yet to do this reliably. Not to mention relying on only vision has gotten us humans in trouble (motorcycles during dusk/dawn, anyone?). Autonomy should strive to be better than humans and that encourages using added sensors to perceive things we

I mean, I’d love to hear less about him. I’d also love it if he stopped being such a piece of shit.

If you’re an AI Robotics company Elon, than shut down your vehicle production.

So... suspend disbelief and believe in some magical Musk vaporware to keep investing in them. Their FSD is falling behind other systems on the market and I doubt they’re ahead of any other big players in solving AI.

I just cannot believe how after all of these years people still believe anything Musk has to say when it concerns timelines, and the fact that news outlets are uncritically passing along that this new affordable car is coming out “sooner” is absurd.

If the car was parked at a house, why didn’t they approach him there instead of when he’s already on the highway...especially if they’re assuming he’s so dangerous???

It’s so stupid. The reason that Uber exists is so that anyone can turn their car into a taxi, because the medallion system limited the number of licensed cabs.

The reason that the medallion system was implemented was because too many people were turning their cars into taxis, creating a system where taxis clogged the

While we’re at it, why don’t we ban private institutions that pick names to deliberately trick the public into thinking they’re legitimately associated with the government.

I predict a massive jump in trade secret lawsuits.

The old pitch of owner-run robotaxis is back. The fleet will be managed by Tesla, but owners will be able to “rent out” their car, with controls over who gets to access it.

Yeah, I’m not holding my breath that this survives the current Supreme Court. Shit, they’re probably dropping duffle bags of unmarked bills in front of Thomas’ house as we speak.

This is exactly what people need, lets give the average person even more power and acceleration when they can’t manage to control and altima like a responsible adult

Great. Now it can run me into traffic or a wall even faster.
