So my predictions: we’ll see it in 2029. The $25k price will be claimed to be 2018 dollars, so the “real” price will be $39,995. At that price it will be a RWD model, short range, black only, not available until 2031 and will be discontinued after one year. After that it’ll be a $50k starting price.
Is the codename for this one going to be “Pipedream”?
Given that inflation is not yet under control, Elon might get to claim that he was using 2018 dollars when he first spoke about the $25k car. By that time, $40k might be the new $25k.
And without ugly black plastic lining the wheel wells, a “floating” roof line, hack and slash random character lines, giant grills with a pissed off leer to the face, weird shaped taillights and all the other extremely tired modern car styling cues? At least by modern standards this looks like you might almost be able…
But Elon said it will have a 500 mile range, cost $70k, and drive by itself. This article is FUD!
An EV does better in the cities rather than highway due to less wind resistance and its pièce de résistance: Regenerative braking.
I’m sure they know its real drag coefficients. I just don’t believe the numbers that they’ve claimed given their history of making false claims and all.
Enter the era of electricity guzzlers.
Fine. The growth rate declined through the year.
That silver trim on the side reminds me of a hearse. And that overbite nose makes it look Low IQ. So I guess I’m saying $65k seems like a lot to pay for a dumb car with a corpse in the back.
It should continue to slide, but as soon as people start jumping ship, Tesla will announce a new vehicle that will be “production ready” in 6 months. Stocks will soar, they’ll take 100,000 reservation deposits, and the car still wont be ready 4 years later. It’s the Tesla way.
Google and Yelp reviews! Must be true.
This kind of shit is what happens when privileged kids get raised to believe that they’re special.
I wonder if in a year you’ll see close to every one of these things with a vinyl wrap.
First Barkeeper’s friend, then sandpaper, then steel wool, then acid, then paint.
Musk is so detached from reality. Says “great humor requires revealed truth”, yet criticizes John Oliver of not being funny when Oliver *reveals the truth* about him.
Who is walking? I’m making a single call and someone’ll drive out with a can of gas. I’ll be back on the road in an hour, max, with an ICE vehicle.
“Just say no” was Nancy Reagan, not Nixon. Gen X remembers.
