Yes, the FAA does have DEI policies, or had... justl ike they did under Trump’s last administration and before that. However, contrary to the opinions of everyone on the right, that doesn’t mean people are hired into jobs they are incapable of doing, nor does it mean a less competent people is hired over a more

Never have we seen a president so quick to turn a very tragic accident into a political issue. He was turning it into a political weapon before the bodies could be pulled form the water and families notified. It’s disgusting and horrific.

Agree with all of that, but gutting the FAA purely for political reasons will definitely not make anything better and can instead lead to even more horrific accidents and work and supervision is missed and safety measure slip through the cracks.

“We do not know what led to this crash, but we have some very strong opinions and ideas,”

I mean, you don’t really want to using up most of the capacity on a regular basis, but it’s true that enormous ranges are really wasted for the most part. Think of how many lower-range base commuter cars could be made and sold with all of that unused battery capacity strapped to these cars!

It’s an often used picture and I’m going to guess some tweaking was done with the coloring to really bring out the color differences, like a photo of the northern lights versus how they look to the naked eye, but even so, it wouldn’t be possible if that blotchy makeup wasn’t there to begin with.

Musk is in the ultimate “fuck you” money position of anyone. I honestly don’t believe he would even care much if Tesla went down in flames, but he’ll of course say whatever needs to be said to keep the house of cards upright for as long as possible while he cashes in the stock.

True. Tesla was already poised to make major inroads to EV relevance before he showed up and forced them to call him a founder of the company, and other companies were working away at it as well. So we were already on the path since the earliest EVs and people making headlines by stuffing dozens of batteries in light

There’s a difference between CEOs being asshole but generally staying in their lane, ie: within their own industry, and a guy being an asshole AND racist AND a fucking nazi AND trying to run the entire country and other countries.

Right! I just read that musk is pushing Boeing to finish the new AF1 plane as soon as possible and my only response was, yeah! Fast-track that in every way they have with all of their other planes, and create as many new shortcuts as they want!

PHEVs are so dependent on the owner and how much they charge them that it seems useless to include them at all as daily charging could easily blow everything else in this list out of the water.

Trump is already blaming ATC, so yeah we know howw it will end.

No matter what actually happened, I have zero faith we will get the true story with the Liar in Chief in the WH. Even if it’s undeniable the BH was someplace it should not have been, ATC will definitely be blamed a and used as an excuse to blame democrats and gut/privatize another government agency.

Pretty clear he didn’t even write the first response.

It’ll be interesting to hear what excuse there is for any kind of training flights should be happening anywhere near commercial flight paths.

Of course it will. GOP politicized EVERYTHING anymore.

if Tesla puts out one “self-driving” “robotaxi” (read, Model 3 with a guy behind the wheel) limited to one small neighborhood in Autsin by June, the stock will probably double. Because Wall Street is dumb as shit.

I mean, Musk has already admitted his deadlines are basically made up bullshit he never intends to hit and is more of a tactic to try to pressure the employees to work faster.

Yeah it seems with Toyota’s reputation they could be beat out everyone else outside Tesla already. But that would also eat into their PHEV sales, so who knows which is the better move from a profitability stantpoint.

Maybe Trump should list every post he makes as “state media” since he now works for the government and he was all too happy to slap that label on media outlet that were only partly funded by government funding and not at all directly controlled by the government.
