Profit is completely irrelevant to Tesla. As are any other metrics like sales, meeting it’s state goals, etc. It’s stock price is proof of that.

This most definitely does not make any money unless people are paying some ridiculous amount per ride.

You may not want to buy it though. May be better off going to buy something used at the end for a bargain, or if the leases are still as good as they are now, you may be happy to lease again.
