Any reasonably-sized truck like the Ridgeline or Maverick... that may actually be all of them!

As stupid as someone who buys a car from a company that says it’s not a car company.

But none of those claims to be totally automated, nor do they have names that make users think they are.

Just like so-called full self drive an autopilot (still don’t know what the difference between those same-sounding names is) they are totally automated, except the driver has to be able to control any any time, rendering it useless.

Yeah this tech is definitely ready to take over for drivers completely!

There’s plenty of blame to go around. When Musk bought into Tesla he said he wanted to help save the world with affordable EVs for all. If he really believed in helping save the world with EVs, he wouldn’t sell the credits to anyone. He would tell them to f**** off and lower their emissions like they’re supposed to.

Nailed it!

The funniest thing about selling off these credits is the companies selling the credit will take full credit themselves for helping reduce carbon emissions, but forget to mention that they’re just enabling emissions of excess carbon elsewhere, so at absolute best they’re really not doing anything.

That’s some bullshit. Go ask that kid who was going over 100mph in a 35mph zone and killed a 14 year old girl is he was “keeping some spare change”.

So people think inconvenience and being too poor to pay track fees are valid excuses for street racing? Jesus.

True, it will put more cycles on the battery. And for sure there’s no way paying $800 a month on a fully rolled out plan is financially possible. That’s just compensation for the people willing to put of with the testing.

But can you do it with native apps or have to do it all through Tesla’s apps? Extra steps and dealing with different software I neither want nor need. And why the hell would I want games and netflix while driving??? If a passenger wants that, they’re probably going to be better off just doing that on their own device

Another very good reason to change the way we do urban planning and zone property as well as invest more heavily in quality public transportation. The robotaxi isn’t coming to save us, and is not the best answer anyway.

At least the person who probably thought they could learn to race a car by watching enough F&F movies did it on a track rather than in the street.

It’s amazing how they keep letting him do basically whatever he wants no matter what he says or does that would get anyone else shitcanned.

Oh god, I hate looking at that car. Every time I see it I just think “scary sea creature”

Came here to say this. There were a lot of tragic losses to inflated gas prices.

Ever year for my middle management job at my company I have to complete a survey declaring whether or not I have any business dealings or investment with any company competitors. If I did, I would probably face serious questions from the company and could possibly lose my job or forced to take a lower level position.

Haven’t you heard, Tesla is no longer a car company. It’s an AI company... and the CEO is running an AI company of his own! Instead of that being grounds to kick him to the curb, they’re going to pay him billions to buy his side hustle he was working on instead of doing his actual CEO job! And there’s no question this

Holy crap, I was just saying yesterday how I think it’s a massive conflict of interest that Musk is running his own AI company on the side while pushing Tesla as an AI company too, and that the only purpose would be to force TEsla to buy out xAI for a inflated price... and now here we are!
