My wife would flip if we got a 7-eleven with that kind of stuff. She loves watching videos of people going through 7-elevens in Japan.

Yes she clearly did want it very much, which only proves how much control her spouse was holding over her. Haven’t you ever bought anything for reasons other than just strict financial.functional qualities? Would you have been ok with your spouse telling you that you couldn’t have it, even if you could easily afford…
That’s $200k and you still have $200k left. You think that’s Ramen noodles money???
No it’s not. There’s a big difference between telling a spouse “hey buying a Tesla is not a good idea” and “I’m going to tell YOU what to do with YOUR earned money and you have no say in the matter”

I don’t think there was ever any assumption on the owner’s part that the car would appreciate, or that it was purchased as an investment. The owner is just frustrated that the car has not held up to comparable cars in terms of value, largely due to Tesla’s continuous price cuts to try to induce more new purchases.
“A new Performance or LR purchased for $45-55k will probably be worth $25-35k in 3 years.”

Looking at all of these options combined with the fact that Tesla’s general design hasn’t changed significantly since the first Model S over 12 years ago, and it’s not surprising that Tesla sales are suffering while others are gaining. And that’s not even considering the dumpster fire of a subhuman at the helm doing…
Agreed. A full EV that has all the utility benefits of a truck seems like nothing but win.
The reality distortion field that Tesla stans live in is pretty strong.
I agree, revoke the license of every Tesla... AKA, ban their “autopilot” and “full self drive”
It’s not defective, it’s just in beta. But that leads right back to the DOT ban, or at least it should! We live in a world where a company is allowed to beta test a 6,000 pound product that can go 70+mph on public roads.
It’s not a bug it’s a feature. A lot less traffic on railroad tracks!
Why would they be so limited?
You probably know that there are portfolio managers that you can have manage your investments for you. And you can tell them specific companies, sectors, etc that you do not want your money invested in, and they will abide by your limitations. I know this because that is how my investments are managed for me.
Even if the company continues to underperform like this, it’ll probably still be worth half of what it is today, which would still be massively over-valued, and Musk will still have a $20 billion + payday.
Let’s all prey for Patrick Swayze’s ghost to help her!
