Or just VERY desperate to prove to himself ( of his wife) it was a worthwhile purchase.

maybe you just need to remove the seat....
Mine was actually a early ‘65 or “64 1/2" built April 21st, 1964. I didn’t keep it original though. It was white with red interior and I restored it with Red and black pony interior. A friend was into Mustangs and had a set. of hipo heads laying around he let me have. I don’t think it did much for performance, but…
One thing I had read, and found out for myself, is that clover is so much nicer if you’re walking barefoot in grass or laying/sitting in it. I found this out by playing with my daughter in our yard. We would randomly go out barefoot to play in the back yard on nice days, and I always stick to the parts with clover…
Seeing one of these at a car show when I was young was my introduction to the concept. All I could think was, why don’t we have more of these by now!
If they did I never saw it!
If I wasn’t so damn frugal I’d be driving a new Ioniq 5 instead of a 2020 Ioniq Electric. But even my relatively timid Ioniq will nicely spin squeal the tires if I floor it off the line, so I don’t think I need anything more powerful. And being less than half the cost of an Ioniq 5 with less than 10k miles on it defini…
Cheaper than than the Macan would make it worth it, if the above commentary is to be believed.
Just another way Musk is shooting Telsa in the foot with his wild ideas. If he hadn’t gone so over the top with his claims of what teh Roadster would do, they probably could have easily started pumping them out years ago and made good money from them.

But that robotaxi is definitely right around the corner and absolutely makes TSLA worth it’s market cap!
That’s why we need to bring back retractable hardtops.
Like she said, nobody forced him to buy it. I brew my coffee at home for pennies a cup. He can too.
That’s the point though, isn’t it? Warranty work is paid for by Tesla. Out of warranty work is paid for by the customer. Shoddy workmanship + warranty denials + captive customer base = profit.
That’s because the entire Tesla lineup design is still largely based on the original Model S from over 12 years ago. They are just looking really dated. And I know the Tesla folks will come in and point out all of the small changes they have made over time, and some will actually try to argue none of them look at all…
That was the standout feature to me.
Problem is that a lot of that depreciation is justified if the PO is flooring it at every traffic light they get in front of, and they are beating the snot out of the battery with constant recharging at that new high rate.
Not arguing that they aren’t over-powered in acceleration, but how often do you really need more than 300 miles of range... especially if you can charge up so quickly now that you can get another 200+ miles in under 20 minutes?
1,110 is basically 10%. 10% of $50 billion is still $5 billion, which is insane. Does anyone really think Musk should get nearly 10% of the company’s market worth on a single payday? Especially when they know he will just demand even more, and actually already has signaled that he will, in the future?
But that’s no reason to say PHEVs are wrong or bad. It’s just their use by their owners that is wrong.
