Why is "American" different from "other?" What is "American," exactly? Because, for example, the French in northern New England came through Canada first, but that was probably a long time ago. Doesn't that make them "American" now? I don't understand this map.

I think that New Hampshire's numbers are stacked. The NH State Liquor Store is a must-stop for New Englanders passing through. We always stop and stock up, because it's cheaper. I think that contributes a lot to the numbers.
