Well he also came out recently against affordable housing in his neighborhood, so it’s not his WHOLE shtick.

Laws have recently been put in place to deny trans people rights.
So is this Chappelle’s whole shtick now, he’s just gonna be the “trans jokes guy” from now on? What’s next on his agenda, doing a set at CPAC?
Mulaney was the only guy who dropped Dave Becky after the Louis CK thing became public. Mulaney is also obsessed with his image as a good guy. This is unexpected.
And he got it wrong too. The premise of the joke is that the thing that is Thing A but identifies as Thing Bis not actually Thing Bat all and is really still Thing A. The weapon was a knife. It just was in the shape of a gun. So it should’ve been a knife that identifies as a gun. But transphobic fuckheads are too…
True, but you generally anticipate it to be a comedian with similar takes to the comedian that you’re seeing.
you shouldn't have to be subjected to transphobia and homophobia when you're tryna have a good time
be a bit more empathetic
The hell? I expect better from the guy who fucked around on his wife.
This is literal conservative comedian jokes. X identified as Y is Babalon Bee trash. Jesus fucking Christ on a cracker this is pathetic. At least Tim Heidecker is doing better.
I’m glad mulaney showed his hand after dumping his wife while cheating on her So I’m not completely shocked now.
wtf.
…just your regular reminder that stand-ups will always band together because “being allowed to say whatever I want on stage” always trumps “ not being an asshole”
Total bullshit to spring this up on people who wouldn’t pay for a Chapelle set otherwise.
Seriously, this ‘baguette’ is so stale you could kill someone with it.
And thus ends the longest and most ambitious Wish ever granted by the Make a Wish Foundation.
To which I say: Good! Shake things up! It’s fucking stale as hell right now.
His Update spots grew on me over the years. I do wonder what he might contribute behind the scenes. I don’t think he’s secretly an amazing writer, but his standup is decent which makes me think he might be a useful joke writer as well, someone who helps to build out sketches.
My guess: he’ll probably be on just as often, but via walk-ons. Probably opens up a cast spot in the process.
I think its failure was always by design. The channel was only cynically established by Shahid Khan so the NFL owners could try to trot him out as a “Black” owner to their White membership who gave lip service to “diversity”. It didn’t work and not one Black person gave this man an ounce of unearned credit.
