I’ve more more or less stopped coming to this site after almost two decades. I stopped commenting regularly years ago because for some reason Kinja and Chrome for IOS don’t get along. The articles and writing at just bitchy and awful now. Not surprised the comment areas are baren.

What problem is the yoke solving that requires so much engineering and concession to implement it besides lagging sales?

We just traded our ailing 2012 A4 Avant for this exact spec, but for a tan interior. Its prinarily the wife’s car, but despite Stingers being cars that I would point out and admire whenever I see them, i was a little on the fence about the prospect of owning one… especially the base 4cyl.

Funny, @FutureDoc... I also play BeamNG drive with my 5-year old. He likes Assetto Corsa also, but he doesn’t quite have the attention span for more than 5 mins of circuit driving. I also make him do all the menu navigation so help with reading and mouse use, and use it as a way to teach him about physics. I also like

I mean for sure, fuck right off.

Now playing

Man I remember when that came out thinking it was ugly... the years have not been kind to it either.

Here is my 2021 hot take. There is the only way to enter a conversation “Musk Neutral”

Ok, I have a Kia Stinger and the read visibility is, JUST passable. Even with the cameras is still something I wish was improved.

I just got out of a 2015 A4, and into a 2022 Stinger. There are certainly many things about it where it lags behind the Audi in material usage.... But Ifeel like its a absolutely fantastic value at $40k. As far as its driving manners are concerned, its a far more enjoyable car than the A4. Its not as premium, sure,

Yep. If they sold this here I would find a way. Which I find interesting as I think the original is not that appealing to me. And this is a very true to the original in shape and idea. But probably the car I would buy if it were sold here.  And its not just a we cant have it thing.

It obviously photographs well. But if you look close the there are telltale signs of mediocre craftmanship to be honest. These “cottage-like” conversions seem to be all the rage. Busses that photograph like nicely appointed living rooms. But that looks seems to come at a compromise. Sure its homey and uncluttered....

I’m on board with all of the ~20 current commenters to this thread. This is one of the few Porsche cars that really makes me tingle. Funny that the writer of this story would write in the tone he has... This is like basically the only acceptable $2 million Jalop ride. The engineering, development etc of this car is

Guess what? That is sort of technically all any spacecraft in orbit does. They are never outside of Earth’s gravity, they are just on a long continuous “parabolic flight path”. The occupants of the ISS are constantly falling toward Earth, they are just moving fast enough so as to “continue falling”.

There are certainly times when I look at a story on this site and think... This is not an article... this is a mediocre Car Lounge post or personal car blog entry from 2002. This is one of those times. I read the headline and think it may be something really cool. I look at the picture and think... Ok all I can see is

Oh, but let’s be real here....

So a bit of duh, perhaps. Here in another perspective however. I have never taken a car to a shop. I’m not a mechanic... I just know I can probably do whatever needs to be done, and pretty much do. That said I’ve struggled through hundreds of repairs, knowing full well the tens of thousands of dollars I’ve saved over

I think its the high belt-line that makes modern shooting brakes not work. You have to have a little slope to the roof, and the beltline generally has to have a little up-sweep. Combine all that and you end up with not enough distance between the wheel and the roof to make it not just a weird fastback.

So I have been checking in on this from time to time.... I was VERY excited. From the pictures I had seen up until now I was expecting something I would like A LOT.

I spent 3 years at Art Center, and aside from your point.... I was not a talentless designer... however, seeing the tallent around me, I realized that I was not top 5% of talent in my class. The competition is STIFF. My dream was advanced concept development. I was maybe slightly above 50% in the talent pool of my

Just a regular car fan here. No particular interest or disinterest in tesla, other than to say its a innovative American company, and the whole FSD and Elon and whatever is a bit much and quite silly. But the coverage of anything on this site about Tesla reads as very childish... Like can an article about Tesla be
